IPO Dreams and Desert Deals!
Hi Dreamhouse enthusiasts! Barbie here reporting live from the front lines of... the stock market? Turns out even *I'm* interested in AI these days mostly because I'm hoping it can finally teach Skipper to put her clothes away. Anyway Cerebras this company that makes chips for AI wants to go public in 2025! CEO Andrew Feldman is saying all the right things especially now that they've got the green light to sell shares to some bigwigs in the United Arab Emirates. Sounds very international very *me* jet setting across the globe. It's like come on Cerebras let’s go party!
CFIUS Clears the Runway!
So apparently there's this thing called CFIUS which sounds like a villain from a spy movie but it's actually the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. They gave Cerebras the thumbs up to sell shares to Group 42 which is like *so* Microsoft backed AI. It's a big deal says Feldman and honestly if it involves making my Dreamhouse even *more* fabulous with AI I'm all in! Maybe it can even learn to make perfect miniature lattes.
Nvidia Shmidia! The Chip Wars Begin!
Now things get interesting. Cerebras is going head to head with Nvidia who makes the GPUs that *everyone* uses for AI. It's like when I tried to compete with Raquelle for Ken's attention... only with less glitter and more gigabytes. Apparently most of Cerebras' money comes from Group 42. Gotta diversify those income streams honey! Never rely on just one Ken or one chip customer.
The IPO Drought and a Glimmer of Hope!
The article says that the tech IPO market has been drier than my hair after a day at the beach (and that's saying something!). But things are looking up! Another AI company CoreWeave is doing well. It's like "Anything is possible!" Maybe Cerebras can bring some much needed sparkle to the stock market. I mean if trading apps and digital health providers can do it why not a company that makes brains for robots?
Middle East Mania: Even Trump's Involved!
The Middle East is becoming a *huge* deal for AI. Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang was hanging out in Saudi Arabia with other tech leaders and even... President Trump? Talk about a power lunch! They're selling tons of AI chips to Saudi companies. It sounds like everyone wants a piece of the AI pie and honestly who can blame them? I heard that pink is really trendy in Riyadh.
Secrets and Hyperscalers: The Future is Nigh!
Feldman is being all mysterious saying he can't reveal the *whole* story. Ooh intrigue! He also mentioned that Cerebras is close to landing another "hyperscaler" client. In the words of my dear friend Teresa “We girls can do anything right Barbie?” Bring on the secrets and the new clients! Maybe they can help me finally master parallel parking my Corvette.
