Okay y'all so I was just chillin' sippin' on my Frappuccino when I heard the news. Apparently President Trump is slapping tariffs on Vietnam! Vietnam guys! Like what's next? Are we gonna start taxing sunshine? This whole situation is more complicated than my love life! Remember when everyone was ditching China for Vietnam to avoid those pesky trade wars? Well surprise! It's a trap! Now everything from our fave sneakers to those comfy couches are gonna cost more. As I always say 'It's Britney Bitch... and it's about to get expensive!'

Stronger Than Yesterday? Not My Wallet!

So like China used to be the top dog for sending us goodies but Mexico stole their crown in 2023. Werk! But Vietnam was catching up importing tons of stuff to the US. Now with these new tariffs companies are sweating more than I do after a dance off! And guess who's gonna pay? Us honey! The consumers! My wallet is already crying. I'm gonna need a 'Stronger' cocktail after this.

Gimme More... Discounts!

Seriously who can afford anything these days? Inflation is like that annoying ex who keeps showing up at your door. Consumers are being super picky about where they spend their cash (me included when I'm not buying diamonds). Companies are worried because they think we won't buy as much stuff. It's like 'Gimme More,' but only if it's on sale!

Oops!... Nike Did It Again!

Nike my beloved sneaker brand is gonna feel it too! Apparently they make a lot of shoes in Vietnam. And now Trump's gonna add a HUGE tariff on top of the existing ones from China. That's like a double whammy! No wonder their stock is doing the downward spiral. Maybe I should start designing my own line of affordable tariff free shoes! It's not just shoes y'all. Furniture companies are also freaking out. Wayfair the place where I get all my online impulse purchases when I'm bored is also keeping a close eye on things! Seems like everyone was hopping over to Vietnam to dodge the China drama. Now they're like 'Oops!... I Did It Again!' and scrambling for a new plan. I feel ya companies I feel ya!

Even toymakers are stressed. Hasbro Mattel Funko everyone’s trying to figure out how to keep those little plastic dolls from costing a fortune. One toy company guy said they're trying to 'renegotiate factory costs'. All I heard was 'sale' 'discount' and 'make it cheaper'! I'm gonna need a 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' sale please and thank you! Where do we even go next? I don’t know where I’m rushing to! Seriously this is harder to figure out than my dance moves!
