Yo it's Rocky. Heard some noise outta Washington and it ain't the Liberty Bell ringin'. Seems like this Trump fella is tryin' to cut the legs outta NPR and PBS. These CEOs Maher and Kerger they ain't backin' down see? They're lookin' at fightin' back maybe even a lawsuit. Like I always say 'It ain't about how hard you can hit but how hard you can get hit and keep movin' forward.' And these guys are movin' forward!

Round One: The Legal Jab!

This Maher broad from NPR she's playin' it cool sayin' it's 'preliminary' for specific strategies. But Kerger from PBS she's comin' out swingin'! Says they've never seen nothin' like this and they're gonna 'push back very hard.' Reminds me of when Apollo told me 'There is no tomorrow!' But I showed him see? And these guys are gonna show Trump too! Word on the street is Trump's already facing a whole lotta lawsuits like 135 of 'em. Adding a couple more from the media? Could be a real jab to the jaw!

The Real Knockout: Local News Gets Hit Hard!

Here's the real gut punch. Maher says these cuts are gonna hurt local stations the most. NPR's got 246 member organizations all over newsrooms in every state. Without the funding these journalists coverin' local stuff are gonna be in trouble. We're talkin' news deserts places where folks can't get the real story. Like I told Mickey 'I gotta prove to myself that I'm not a bum.' These journalists they ain't bums and they gotta prove that the truth matters.

PBS: Saving Sesame Street from the Ropes!

And don't even get me started on PBS! Kerger's sayin' they get 15% of their dough from the feds but some stations in small towns get almost half their budget from public funds. That's existential see? Like me without Adrian! She's also worried about Sesame Street and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. This ain't just TV it's education especially for kids who ain't in pre K. I used to watch that stuff with my kid Little Rocky. Good stuff! Trump messin' with education? That's a low blow!

Kerger says new shows are gonna 'skid to a halt' if the money dries up. They work with preschools and parents supportin' all sorts of activities. She says it'll have a 'fairly significant' impact. I’m telling you that’s like tellin’ Paulie he can’t have no more cake! There's gonna be riots!

So there you have it. Trump's throwin' punches but NPR and PBS are ready to rumble. They're fightin' for local news for education and for the little guy.
