Okay chat so you know how sometimes I accidentally spill my water during a stream? Well the Trump administration is proposing a *slightly* bigger mess – a total revamp of the U.S. State Department. Like 'delete 100+ offices' kind of big. Apparently it's all about aligning the agency with Trump's "America First" priorities. We're talking about eliminating 132 bureaus and offices out of 734 which is a lot. Undersecretaries have to cut staff by 15%! Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the department is "bloated and bureaucratic." Honestly I get it sometimes my chat is too but I wouldn't delete you guys. (Okay maybe a *few* of you.) Rubio posted on X that an additional 700 positions will be eliminated in the shut down offices. This is giving me serious 'end of stream gotta raid someone else' vibes but way more serious.

Apparently this whole thing is part of a push by Trump and Elon Musk to shrink the government saying taxpayer money is being misspent. As if I don't know how to spend money I am a streamer! They say the State Department can't make decisions quickly or efficiently. So the plan is to empower regional bureaus. Does this mean more travel vlogs? Because I'm here for it! (As long as I don't have to deal with airport security.)

Here's where it gets a little sus. One of the biggest changes is axing the Undersecretary of Civilian Security Democracy and Human Rights. Rubio claims this branch was a haven for activists who redefined "human rights" and "democracy." He even accused them of waging vendettas against "anti woke" leaders. 'Anti woke'? Is that even a thing? It's giving 'I'm not like other girls'. Like can we not?

War Crimes: Now You See 'Em Now You Don't

Okay this is not pog. The Office of Global Criminal Justice is GONE from the new organizational chart! This office monitors war crimes and atrocities. Like hello?! Isn't that kind of important? A spokesperson said closing an office doesn't mean work stops but...how exactly? Are they going to outsource it to the Justice League? Are they gonna be like "We're gonna make this a community problem?"

Disinformation? More Like Misinformation!

Rubio also shut down a State Department office that countered foreign disinformation accusing it of censoring conservative views. Talk about a plot twist! It feels like the scriptwriters are just making things up as they go along. I feel like I’m in a League of Legends match where no one is playing their roles correctly! And they might be closing consulates too... This is purely domestic? I'm not convinced. Anyway let's hope someone's paying attention to the chat (aka the world).
