Okay so like I had to Google it too. Apparently Fulbright is this super prestigious scholarship thingy kinda like getting into Harvard but for traveling and studying abroad. Imagine me Kylie Jenner in Paris learning about... art? Or maybe starting a Kylie Cosmetics pop up on the Champs Élysées. Goals! But like if someone messes with that opportunity that's not cute.

Tea Time: The Board Said 'Bye Felicia!'

So the entire Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board – a whole 12 people! – just straight up quit. Like 'I'm done' vibes. They're saying the State Department (aka the government) is denying awards to people who totally deserve them. Apparently the Trump administration is being accused of meddling even after Biden got in. As if 2020 wasn't enough drama. It's giving me 'stormi you look like mommy baby' times 10000!

Unauthorized Reviews? Rude!

They're also saying over 1,200 foreign Fulbright recipients are being put through some 'unauthorized review process'. Unauthorized? Who authorized it? Is this like when people use my lip kits without asking? Totally unacceptable. The board is saying it's against the rules and everything Fulbright stands for like free speech and academic freedom. I mean I'm all about freedom – especially the freedom to post selfies with filters.

The article said the board members are Biden appointees. So we are talking about some serious top dog level people here. Mala Adiga and Jen O'Malley Dillon said see ya!.

Is This Breaking News? Or Just Broken Dreams?

This board is supposed to have the final say in who gets these scholarships after a whole year long process. Now they are saying the State Department is being shady and taking over. What's next? Are they going to take my Birkin collection too? I'm gonna have a meltdown. I think I need to go live to talk about this and sell lip kits as i speak. This is outrageous.

Okay so maybe I'm not applying for a Fulbright anytime soon. But the idea that people are getting their opportunities taken away because of politics is NOT it. Like everyone deserves a chance to shine whether it's studying abroad or you know building a billion dollar empire. So let's hope they sort this mess out.
