They Drew First Blood!

Listen up folks. I've seen jungles I've seen wars and I've seen bureaucrats tangle themselves in red tape thicker than my headband. But this? This is something else. Seems some Democratic lawmakers in New Jersey decided to poke the bear at an ICE detention center. Now Homeland Security is saying they might be facing more than just a slap on the wrist. They're talking arrests. Remember what I said 'They drew first blood not me.' Well looks like ICE thinks these politicians drew first blood too.

Body Slammin' Blues!

According to DHS there's video evidence of these esteemed Congress members gettin' a little handsy with ICE officers. Body slamming they said! Body slammin' a female officer! Now I've body slammed my fair share of bad guys but I was always fightin' for something. What were these guys fightin' for? A photo op? A sound bite? Or were they pushed? Like in war until you have been there you will never know where there is. It's all about survival no room for mistakes.

Lies Damned Lies and Political Stunts!

Rep. Menendez is crying foul accusing the Trump folks of spreading “lies and misinformation.” He claims they have a right to oversee these facilities. 'To survive a war you gotta become war.' First Blood Part II. But DHS ain't buying it. They're calling it a “bizarre political stunt.” And let me tell you I know a thing or two about stunts. This whole thing stinks like a politician's promise.

Mayor Down!

Seems Newark Mayor Ras Baraka got caught in the crossfire too. Trespassing they're saying. He got booked and released without bond. Probably thought he was gonna be the hero huh? 'Live for nothing or die for something.' Rambo First Blood. He didn't end up having to make that choice at least.

Evolving Situation: More Explosions to Come?

Homeland Security is keeping the door open for more action. “Evolving situation,” they call it. Sounds to me like they're loadin' up the RPGs. I’ve seen these “evolving situations” before. They usually end with a whole lot of hurt feelings and maybe a few explosions. So far nothing to the scale of Vietnam or Afghanistan. 'I want them to know that death is coming and there's nothing they can do to stop it.' Rambo (2008). Okay that may have been a bit strong but still.

Here's the deal: Whether you're a politician or a soldier you gotta know your terrain. You gotta know your enemy. And you gotta know the rules of engagement.
