The FBI – that's like our Stone Age police only fancier – is warning everyone about some real sneaky crooks. These guys ain't using rocks and clubs no sir! They're using this newfangled 'AI' thingamajigger. Sounds like something Wilma would cook up in her futuristic kitchen but it's actually used to mimic voices!

Grand Poobah Impersonators!

Apparently these boneheads are pretending to be big shot government officials – you know the kind that make all the rules. They're sending fake messages and voice recordings that sound just like these VIPs. It's like trying to trick Barney into thinking I'm the Grand Poobah – only with higher stakes! The FBI says "If you get a message claiming to be from a big cheese don't just believe it!" Smart advice folks.

Smishing and Vishing? Sounds Fishy to Me!

They're calling these tricks 'smishing' and 'vishing'. Sounds like something Dino would do after eating too many Bronto Burgers! Turns out they're sending fake texts and voice messages to try and get close to these officials before they get to their personal accounts.

Malicious Links? More Like Malicious Stinks!

These crooks are sending links that promise to take the conversation to a different platform. But hold on to your club Bedrock! These links are nasty! They're a trap to steal your personal information. I wouldn't click on those links even if they promised me a lifetime supply of Bronto Ribs!

Stealing Secrets and Dino Dollars!

If these low lifes get into the accounts they can then use that information to target other officials or steal your hard earned dino dollars! They're like the modern day Slate always trying to swindle us out of our money. “Contact information acquired through social engineering schemes could also be used to impersonate contacts to elicit information or funds,” the FBI said. This is why you need to be alert! Wilma always tells me to be careful with my stone tablets (personal data)!

Old Timers Beware!

The FBI says that older folks are getting hit the hardest by these scams. These criminals are like the neighbor's kids always trying to steal my newspaper.
