The Emperor is Not Pleased

Disturbing news reaches my fortress more infuriating than a sandstorm on Tatooine. A federal judge one James Boasberg dares to suggest the Trump administration is in 'criminal contempt.' Contempt! It is *I* who deals in contempt not these… politicians! Apparently they ignored an order about deporting alleged Venezuelan gang members to some wretched hive of scum and villainy in El Salvador. This Boasberg claims 'willful disregard.' I sense a disturbance in the Force; a great lack of discipline!

A Weakness in the Force

The judge in his infinite bureaucratic wisdom has given the administration a week to 'purge' this contempt finding. Purge? That's *my* word! They can either explain themselves or identify the responsible party. As if one person could wield such power alone. This reeks of incompetence a fatal flaw in the Empire… I mean administration. Perhaps they need a demonstration of the power of the Dark Side. A Force choke should clear things up nicely.

The White House Strikes Back (Sort Of)

The White House in a display of pathetic defiance plans to seek 'immediate appellate relief.' Their communications director one Steven Cheung babbles about commitment to protecting Americans from terrorists and criminal illegal migrants. Empty words! They have allowed the rebels… I mean the judge to gain the upper hand. The Emperor is not strong with this one.

Deportation? I Find Your Lack of Faith Disturbing

Apparently this stems from attempts to deport undocumented immigrants. The Trump administration even invoked some ancient law the 'Alien Enemies Act,' to deport Venezuelans suspected of gang affiliation. It's like using a thermal detonator to swat a fly. Such overkill! And these Venezuelans deny being gang members? A likely story. Reminds me of a young Skywalker denying his true potential.

Turning the Planes Around!?

The judge issued a restraining order demanding the administration comply even if it meant turning the planes around mid air. Turning the planes around! Preposterous! Imagine the fuel costs! The delays! It is as absurd as trying to negotiate with a Wookiee. And yet they failed to comply? Unacceptable! This is not the way of the Sith… or any competent government.

The Supreme Court's Judgement...

The Supreme Court in their infinite wisdom sided with the administration… partially. They allowed the use of the Aliens Enemies Act but demanded the Venezuelans have a chance to present their cases in court. 'Due process,' they call it. A bureaucratic nightmare! But I suppose even the Emperor has to contend with such trivialities. This is just a stepping stone to absolute power... or at least a victory in court. I will be watching this case with great interest!
