Okay y'all so like I heard some whispers about President Trump and the Fed Chair Jerome Powell! Apparently things are getting a little 'Oops!... I Did It Again' in the economic world! Kevin Hassett a White House advisor basically said they're 'studying' if Trump can just like *poof* get rid of Powell! Is this real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide no escape from reality! Open your eyes look up to the skies and see! Seriously though it's giving me 'Stronger' vibes – like is Trump trying to say 'My loneliness is killing me (and I) I must confess I still believe (still believe)'... in firing Powell?! Somebody tell me what's going on please!

Not a Girl Not Yet a Socialist (Maybe?)

So apparently Hassett wrote this book back in 2021 'The Drift: Stopping America's Slide to Socialism.' Girl same! But in it he said firing Powell would be like a *major* no no! He thought it would mess with the Fed's rep and crash the whole stock market. Oops! He changes his mind like I change my outfits during a concert! He's saying things were different back then and maybe some 'new legal analysis' is giving him different vibes. Like 'Gimme More' legal loopholes am I right?! Is he trying to tell us he's not that innocent? It's complicated!

They're talking about some case at the Supreme Court about Trump firing some folks from labor boards. Apparently *that* might give some clues on whether Trump can give Powell the 'You Drive Me Crazy' treatment and kick him out. I'm no lawyer but it sounds like they're saying 'if you seek Amy' maybe you'll find the answer in the Supreme Court? Either way it's all a bit dramatic like a scene from 'Crossroads,' except instead of a road trip it's a power struggle with interest rates on the line! Toxic!

Powell is giving me 'I'm a Slave 4 U' vibes but in a good way! He said he ain't leaving even if Trump asks him to and he's planning on chilling in his chair until 2026! Werk Jerome werk! But hey at least it's entertaining right? It's like a reality show but with more numbers and less lip gloss. And it just keeps getting crazier and crazier! Did I drink poison or something...?
