Okay so like I was scrolling through my usual news feed sipping my boba (strawberry extra tapioca duh!) and I see this headline: Amazon's chief medical officer Dr. Vin Gupta bounced after five years! Five years! That's like a whole streaming career in internet time! Remember five years ago I was still perfecting my no makeup makeup look for streams. Anyway he's off to Manatt Phelps & Phillips LLP. Sounds fancy! Is it a law firm or a spa? I need to know. Amazon's being all professional saying they're 'grateful' and 'wish him the best'. Let's not forget about PillPack! Amazon snagged them up way back in 2018 for a cool $750 million. PillPack was Amazon's first big play into the health space. In his role as chief medical officer Gupta helped roll out a prescription perk for U.S. Prime members called RxPass and expanded its program for medication delivery by drones . It's like they were building their empire one pill at a time! I wonder if Jeff Bezos gave him a high five when he thought of the drone delivery service! I bet they had a secret handshake and everything.

Moonshots and Misses: What's Next for Amazon Health?

Gupta was also involved with this 'Grand Challenge' thing which sounds like something out of a superhero movie!
