A Little Anarchy in the Market Eh?
So the old man's finally shuffling off the stage huh? Buffett the 'Oracle of Omaha.' Sounds like a clown name to me. But those pathetic little retail investors the 'everyday traders,' decided to throw $24 million at Berkshire Hathaway's Class B stock on Monday. Twenty four million! That's a lot of... gasoline. I could do some real damage with that kind of cash. I mean 'Why so serious?' They're trusting a guy who's about to retire! Classic.
Chaos is a Ladder!
Apparently this Abel fella is supposed to take over. They say he isn't exactly a 'rock star' stock picker like the old geezer. Well isn't that just perfect? A little less predictability a little more... chaos. Makes things interesting doesn't it? And you know what I find interesting? That these sheep are betting on this company even with this change. I bet they think they're so smart.
Introduce a Little Anarchy. Upset the Established Order...
The stock dipped more than 5% on Monday. Five percent! And what do these retail investors do? Buy more! It's like they *want* to watch the world burn. Or at least their portfolios. But hey maybe they're onto something. Maybe they know something we don't. Or maybe they're just completely insane. Either way I'm enjoying the show.
It's All Part of the Plan!
Buffett says he's going to 'hang around.' Like a bad smell I suppose. And he's not selling his shares either. Says Abel is going to be better than him. HA! That's rich. But I bet he is just staying around to make sure everything stays the same boring old way. Can't have too much fun can we?
Cash is King Baby!
Berkshire's sitting on over $330 billion in cash. Three hundred and thirty *billion*! Enough to buy almost every company in the S&P 500. Now that's a piggy bank I could get behind. Imagine the possibilities... I could buy some gasoline!
And Here...We...Go!
So the game continues. Buffett's out Abel's in and the little people are gambling with their hard earned cash. Will Berkshire continue to rule the roost? Will Abel surprise us all? Or will it all come crashing down in a glorious chaotic mess? I don't know and frankly I don't care. I just want to watch the world burn.
