A Little Anarchy Never Hurt Nobody

Greetings Gotham… I mean New York! Seems our esteemed Comptroller Brad Lander decided to play hero and got himself a starring role in his very own little drama. Arrested by ICE no less! Oh the irony! As I always say "Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order and everything becomes chaos. I’m an agent of chaos." And isn't that just what happened? He was just standing up for immigrants you see? Like a true white knight. Or maybe just stirring the pot? Who can really say?

The Bat... I Mean The Feds Strike Back!

So Brad gets a little too close to the action at immigration court and BAM! Handcuffs! Apparently the Feds thought he was "assaulting law enforcement and impeding a federal officer." Now isn't that a knee slapper? The man's a politician; isn't obstructing things practically in the job description? "It's not about the money it's about sending a message," and boy did they send one. A message saying "Don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong!" Or maybe "We have the power to ruin your day!"

Hochul's Hypocrisy: "Total Bulls "

And then we have Governor Hochul screaming "foul play!" and "federal overreach!" "Total bulls " she cries! Oh the humanity! It's all gone to pot! But isn't it delicious how quickly these 'heroes' start singing a different tune when the boot is on the other foot? When it's happening to them? Makes you think doesn't it? "All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy." Or in this case maybe just to a bit of self serving outrage.

Senator Padilla's Pitiful Plight

But wait there's more! Senator Padilla got the same treatment! Handcuffed for daring to ask questions! Now that's entertainment! Imagine a Senator silenced! It's like a bad joke. "Do I really look like a guy with a plan?" Because it seems to me that some of these politicians have very poor plans.

A Grotesque Escalation or a Hilarious Overreaction?

Attorney General Letitia James is all up in arms calling it a "grotesque escalation of tensions." Honestly what did she expect? Hugs and kisses? This is politics darling! It's a dirty game played by dirty people. "Madness is like gravity all it takes is a little push." I may push them a little. I may just watch them push each other.

The Punchline

So there you have it folks. Politicians getting a taste of their own medicine. A little chaos in the system. It's not about justice it's about…sending a message. And the message is: life's a stage and we're all just clowns dancing to someone else's tune. Laugh it up! It's all just a joke anyway. A very very dark joke. And who doesn't love a good dark joke?
