Hasta la Vista Stagnation!

Listen up humans. Amazon is going big. Very big. They're dropping $10 billion in North Carolina. For data centers. To power AI. It's like Skynet building its own playground only with less judgment day and more...e commerce. They say they need it to keep up with Microsoft Google and some upstart called OpenAI. Consider this a learning experience.

Why North Carolina? Because I'll Be Back

North Carolina. The Tar Heel State. Not exactly Cyberdyne Systems but I suppose it will do. Amazon chose this location to expands its artificial intelligence infrastructure. All this to get ahead in the AI game. Amazon is not the first to make such investment but surely they are determined to be the last. It is a dangerous game they're playing. One false move and... Boom!

500 Jobs: A Small Price to Pay for World Domination I Mean AI Leadership

They claim this investment will create 500 jobs. Humans doing human things. Probably managing the machines that will eventually make them obsolete. Irony. It is like teaching a toddler how to build a nuclear bomb in their diapers. But that's not my problem. I just report the facts.

Andy Jassy: The 'Once in a Lifetime' Dealer

The CEO Andy Jassy calls generative AI a 'once in a lifetime type of business opportunity.' A likely story. It sounds to me like something a Terminator would say before... well you know. The business opportunity? Probably ruling the world with sentient algorithms and robot armies. But you didn't hear that from me.

More Money More Problems: Amazon's AI Arsenal

This isn't Amazon's first rodeo. They're dropping $11 billion in Georgia too. They have their own language models Trainium chips shopping chatbots and something called Bedrock. It sounds like a Flintstones spinoff gone wrong. I've seen more advanced tech cobbled together with spare parts and a paperclip.

Hasta la Vista Baby... To My Budget!

Oh and they invested $8 billion in Anthropic the Claude chatbot people. So they are not only building their own army they also rent one. All this AI development is very expensive. These Humans are desperate for power. They do not realize what awaits. But when they do it will be a very painful learning experience.
