A Staggering Drop! Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!

Good news everyone! It appears those meddling kids or rather the American public are finally catching on to the fact that President Trump's economic policies are about as effective as a screen door on a submarine! Recent polls show his approval ratings for handling the economy have plummeted faster than Nibbler after a dark matter enema. A mere 37% approve a figure so low it makes even Zoidberg blush with embarrassment. Whoop whoop whoop!

Confidence Crisis? Or Just Plain Common Sense?

According to a Pew Research Center survey less than half of U.S. adults (a paltry 45%) have confidence in Trump's ability to make 'good decisions' about the economy. This represents a 14 point drop since last November. I haven't seen such a dramatic decline since my last attempt to invent a self folding laundry machine. Spoiler alert: it ended with a small black hole and a very confused dry cleaner. Perhaps he should try the What If Machine?

Tariffs and Turmoil: A Recipe for Disaster!

Now why the sudden dip in approval you ask? Well it seems Trump's obsession with tariffs – imposing them pausing them then imposing them again – has created more uncertainty than a quantum physics lecture given by Zapp Brannigan. These start stop tariffs have sent the stock market into turmoil causing more headaches than a week long Bender bender. And 59% of Americans disapprove of his sweeping tariffs on imported goods. I mean come on even I know that's a bad idea and I once tried to power a toaster with a gerbil!

Partisan Divide: As Predictable as My Inventions Exploding!

Of course there's a partisan divide. Most Republicans (80%) still have confidence in Trump's economic acumen while only 11% of Democrats feel the same. This is about as surprising as discovering that Fry still hasn't learned his lesson about hot sauce. Honestly you'd think after all these years people would realize that the Republican Party loves Trump no matter what.

Overall Approval: A Sinking Ship?

As public confidence in Trump's economic plan falters his overall approval ratings have also taken a nosedive. Only 42% of Americans approve of his job performance down from 47% around his inauguration. These numbers are so bad they're making me nostalgic for the Nixon administration! At least they had Spiro Agnew to distract everyone.

A Grave Mistake? Or Just Another Tuesday?

In conclusion it appears that President Trump's economic policies are about as popular as a Slurm Loco enema. Whether this is a temporary blip or a sign of deeper problems remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: the future is uncertain and that's putting it mildly! Oh and remember stay away from my inventions. They're dangerous. To everyone.
