Wernstrom! A Sector in Shambles
Good news everyone! It seems the so called 'experts' are all doom and gloom about healthcare investments. 'Oh the regulations!' they cry. 'The drug prices are falling!' Well boo hoo! As any good scientist knows chaos is just opportunity in disguise. And frankly I find their lack of faith disturbing! It's like they've never seen a properly volatile market before. To shreds you say?
A Diamond in the Rough (or a Medical Bill Depending on Your Perspective)
While everyone else is panicking and selling off their shares like a cheap toupee in a hurricane I Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth have spotted something… unusual. A glimmer of hope a statistical anomaly a stock that's actually making new three month highs! And that stock my friends is HCA Healthcare (HCA). Could this be a path to riches? Or will it just leave me feeling older and crankier?
200 Days of Moving... Averages?!
This David Keller fellow seems to know his stuff. According to his market research HCA took its sweet time breaking above its 200 day moving average. Apparently it tried and failed more times than Zoidberg trying to impress a lady. But finally it did it! And the Relative Strength Index (RSI) even perked up a bit indicating some actual momentum. This is the kind of scientific breakthrough that makes me want to invent something! Or take a nap...probably the nap.
Weekly Wonders and PPO Shenanigans!
Now let's delve into the weekly chart shall we? Apparently there was some sort of 'cyclical rotation' thingamajig happening. More importantly the Weekly PPO indicator gave a 'buy signal'. Now I'm not entirely sure what a PPO indicator IS but it sounds impressive! Like a super powered laser beam! And the chart looks promising like a nice consistent graph showing me I still have a job!
Ichimoku Schmichimoku (Cloud Resistance Breakdown)
For those who want to take a closer look this Keller fellow is using an 'Ichimoku cloud model'. Sounds like something out of a poorly translated anime! However apparently HCA broke above this cloud resistance thing in March and briefly touched cloud support in April. Keller mentions that there may be further pullbacks in the future but overall it would seem to be bullish. As long as the stock price remains above this 'cloud support zone' you may have a real winner! Or perhaps just a bunch of hot air...
A Word of Caution From One Old Geezer to Another
Now listen up! Before you go throwing all your life savings into HCA remember my words: 'I don't like the looks of this. Things are too good. Something terrible is sure to happen!' Always manage your risk and remember I'm not responsible if you lose all your money. After all I'm just a humble professor trying to make a living by… uh… explaining things! To shreds I say! To shreds!
