Wait Google's in Trouble?!

Okay so apparently Uncle Google is in some *serious* hot water. Like Justice Department levels of hot water. They're being sued for like illegally dominating the ad tech market. And the tea is they're accused of paying Apple a *ton* of money to be the default search engine on iPhones. I'm talking billions! Remember when I said on stream that time that if you’re not first you’re last? Well that is exactly what google is trying to do.

Apple's Services Chief Dropping Truth Bombs!

Enter Eddy Cue Apple's services guru. This guy testified in court and basically said he thinks AI search engines are the future. Meaning stuff like OpenAI and Perplexity could become options in Safari! Can you imagine typing a question and getting an AI to answer? That is like a dream from the future. I wonder if they can help me decide what to eat for dinner because I am always saying to chat 'I'm so indecisive help me choose my next meal!'.

The Stock Market is Having a Meltdown!

So Google's parent company Alphabet saw their shares tank. Like a full on nosedive. Apple's shares dipped too! Cue mentioned he’s actually worried about losing the revenue from the Google deal. Apparently Safari searches went DOWN for the first time in April probably because everyone's playing with AI now. I wonder when I will incorporate AI into my stream any ideas chat?

The Billion Dollar Question

The real kicker here is how much Google is paying Apple to be the default. We're talking potentially $20 billion a year! Like imagine how many boba teas you could buy with that! I could make a lot of content with that money. All these tech companies making all this money make me want to go on a vacation to get away from it all. Maybe somewhere remote.

Is This The End Of Google As We Know It?

So what does this all mean? Well it seems like the future of search is changing. AI is coming for everything even our precious default search engines. And who knows what will happen to that sweet sweet Apple revenue stream. I guess we'll have to wait and see if Google can fix this 'L' (pokimane L emote).
