Meat on the Bone...or Just More Waiting?

Hey everyone it's me Luffy! I heard some weird news and thought I'd share it with you all! Apparently some guy named Trump put a HUGE price increase on stuff coming from China... like 145%! That's almost like trying to eat 145 plates of meat at once! My friend Usopp told me that Hasbro the company that makes toys is worried. They think it could cost them up to $300 million! That's enough to buy a whole SHIPLOAD of meat! Shishishi!

Rubber Band Economics!

The smart people at Hasbro are trying to figure things out. One of them Gina said they’re looking at different ways things could go like if the price increase stays that high or goes down. They're worried about losing 100 to 300 million. The boss guy Chris said they're strong like me after I eat a mountain of meat and that they got some tricks up their sleeves! He said tariffs will make things cost more for everyone. That's like Nami telling me I have to pay for all the meat I eat! Sheesh!

Gum Gum Factory Relocation!

Chris also said that if things get too crazy some people might lose their jobs. That's not cool! Reminds me of when my friends got separated at the Sabaody Archipelago! He also mentioned that some of their stuff is made in America and Japan. He said some of the toys are made in China so they might move their factories to other places... like Turkey? Sounds like Zoro trying to find his way home always ending up in the wrong place! Shishishi!

The Secret Plan! Operation: Save the Toys!

Apparently making toys in America costs more money but they can make Play Doh in Turkey instead. They're like Sanji trying to figure out the best ingredients for a super delicious meal! But some toys are harder to make somewhere else especially the ones with blinky lights and squishy parts. China's been making toys for a long time so it’s hard to just leave everything behind! Chris said they're going to try to save money and not raise prices too much for everyone.

Gomu Gomu No... Price Hike?

These Hasbro people also said they’re trying to save money. They’re hoping things will get better with this tariff stuff soon. Sounds like me hoping I can find the One Piece without too much trouble! They’re trying to do two things at once be strong and protect the toys! Gina said they're changing their plans as things change kinda like me changing directions on the Grand Line! Shishishi!

I'll Be King of the (Affordable) Toys!

So basically this Trump guy is making it hard to get toys! Hopefully they can figure things out so I can still afford all the cool stuff! I need my toys!
