A Goal Not a War: The President Speaks
Hmm much unrest there is. President Herzog of Israel he speaks of Iran. Regime change not the goal he says. 'An official objective of ours not,' he declared. Remove the nuclear program that is the aim. Like pulling teeth from a Wookiee this will be. Much stubbornness I sense. 'Rushing to the bomb Teheran is,' he claims with a 'change in regime' also bringing 'peace in the region.' Hope there is but clouded by uncertainty it is. Fear leads to anger anger leads to hate hate leads to… well you know.
Trust or a Lack Thereof: The Agency's Plea
The International Atomic Energy Agency they speak too. 'Fully cooperate,' they urge Iran. Or else 'not in a position to provide assurance,' they will be. Trust is the Force's currency. Without it darkness prevails. Cooperation key it is. Like Jedi and the Force intertwined they must be. A path to peace this could be if the will is there. Use your feelings Obi Wan and trust your instincts.
Strikes in the Night: Actions Speak Loud
Airstrikes Israel launches. Locations linked to Iran's nuclear program they target. Both sides trading blows they are. 'One has to be tough sometimes,' Herzog says. Remove imminent threats that is the justification. 'Strikes on Iran have had a genuine impact,' he claims. But a path to the Dark Side aggression is. Tread carefully Israel must. Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size do you?
Words of Warning: A Conflicted View
President Trump he speaks of Iran being 'very close' to a nuclear bomb. But National Intelligence Director Gabbard she says otherwise. 'Iran is not building a nuclear weapon,' she claims. Conflicting views there are. Clarity we need. A trap this could be. Difficult to see; always in motion is the future.
The World Reacts: Support and Condemnation
The Group of Seven they support Israel and condemn Iran as 'the principal source of regional instability.' Iran 'can never have a nuclear weapon,' they declare. But China they condemn Israel's 'violation of Iran's sovereignty.' Support for Iran they offer. A galaxy divided it is. Sides everyone is choosing. A test of resolve this is.
Back Channels and Hope: A Diplomatic Path?
Diplomatic ramp off is there one? 'A lot of back channel,' Herzog says. Talks with world leaders 'quite intensive,' they are. Hope there is in diplomacy. Patience we must have. 'Do or do not. There is no try,' as I always say. To peace this path must lead before it is too late. May the Force be with us all.
