Raiders of the Lost Diploma
Right let's get one thing straight: I've never been one for sitting still. Lectures? Pah! Give me ancient ruins any day. Apparently Gen Z feels the same. Word on the street is they're ditching the old 'get a degree' routine. Why? Because universities are charging extortionate prices and frankly there are more exciting tombs—err I mean *opportunities*—out there. Fewer students in universities now than in 2011? Good more room for the rest of us!
From Zero to Hero (With a Welding Torch)
Instead of racking up debt these young trailblazers are diving headfirst into skilled trades. We're talking construction plumbing automotive repair...the kind of stuff that actually *builds* things. Take Morgan Bradbury for example. A welding whiz making bank on U.S. Navy ships. 'I could have the ability to build things with my own hands,' she says. See? That's the spirit! It's not about the money but well it *helps*.
The Landscaping Tycoon
And then there's Chase Gallagher. Landscaping since he was practically a toddler and raking in over a million dollars. A million! 'I'm not going to go stop my business and pay for college,' he said. Absolutely brilliant! That’s more treasure than I’ve found in some temples. Now if only I could convince him to landscape the Croft Manor gardens...
Tariffs and Tribulations
Now before you all rush out to buy tool belts there’s a snag. Apparently these tariffs that Trump slapped on everything might throw a wrench in the works. Higher costs on lumber could mean fewer construction jobs. Honestly politics! Always interfering with a good treasure hunt—I mean economic boom. But trades remain stronger than other sectors and that is a solid foundation.
Boomers Exit Gen Z Enters
But fear not! As the older generation hangs up their hard hats a whole new world of opportunities is opening up for Gen Z. More business more financial freedom. I always say 'The world is full of mysteries waiting to be discovered. And fortunes waiting to be made.' Of course you need to be brave to venture and do it but you have to be clever too.
A Croft's Conclusion
So to all the young adventurers out there: Forget the textbooks grab a wrench and start building your own empire. After all 'We all make choices. But in the end our choices make us.' Unless of course you find an ancient artifact that does it for you but that’s another story... Sign up to that course by CNBC it may well teach you how to find that golden artifact... Maybe?
