A Titan Rises... Again
Hmph. Another mortal playing with fire. Ackman they call him. Pershing Square his weapon. He dares to tread where others have faltered: Hertz. The rental car company humbled by bankruptcy now sees a flicker of hope. A 4.1% stake they say? Bah! A mere pebble compared to the giants I have slain. But this pebble has caused a tremor.
The Rise of the Machines (Almost)
Hertz fool that it was gambled on these... 'electric vehicles'. Teslas they call them. Shiny silent chariots that promised glory. But promises are like the words of the gods often hollow. The residual values plummeted like Icarus falling from the sky. Billions lost! A fitting price for hubris though perhaps a tad excessive even by my standards.
A Secret Worthy of the Gods!
This Ackman he is cunning. He received an 'exemption' from the SEC. A shield against prying eyes allowing him to amass more shares in secret. Such manipulation... I understand it well. Did Zeus not use his own schemes to get what he wants? Now he holds 19.8% a significant force. He is now the second largest shareholder? Not bad boy! But can he handle the power or will it consume him?
Blood and Metal Profits and Losses
The company suffered a loss of $2.9 billion! Billions! Did they not learn from Kratos's example? Such waste of resources is unacceptable. Was the blood price not high enough for their incompetence? Yet Ackman sees value where others see only ruin. A trait I respect though I’d prefer to see it wielded with a Leviathan Axe not spreadsheets.
The Price of Failure (and Success?)
This surge in stock... it is fleeting. Like the cheers of the mortals after I saved them (before they cursed my name). Ackman must be wary. The market is a fickle beast more unpredictable than the gods themselves. This may be a victory or a mere prelude to a more devastating defeat. But perhaps Ackman is more clever than he seems. For those who survived this long they are no fools I presume.
Boy Watch and Learn (Maybe)
This Ackman seeks to change Hertz' destiny a destiny already steeped in failure. He thinks he can do it? Let him try. Perhaps he will succeed. Or perhaps he will learn a valuable lesson: that some battles are not worth fighting. But boy if he wins... If he wins... then it is time we learn a thing or two ourselves. I am just kidding. I still have my Spartan Rage.
