A Paper Card? Pathetic!

Hmph. A paper card to prove who you are? In my day we proved our worth with the blood of our enemies not some flimsy piece of parchment! But alas the Social Security Administration seeks to drag itself from the depths of antiquity. They speak of a digital Social Security number accessible through the glowing screens that seem to enthrall the mortals. Perhaps this will save some fools from losing their precious numbers. But know this: gods and mortals alike your number means nothing if you cannot defend it.

Lost Souls and Forgotten Numbers

Apparently some are so weak willed they *lose* their Social Security cards. Unacceptable! The SSA now offers a digital haven for these lost souls accessible through their 'My Social Security' website. They claim it's for convenience to aid those who forget their numbers. I say remember your battles remember your enemies and *remember your Social Security number*! Still this could be a benefit for those too feeble to remember the past.

Efficient? Hah! More Like... Less Inefficient

The acting commissioner a mortal named Lee Dudek drones on about 'efficiency.' As if digital trinkets alone can solve the chaos of mortal affairs. I've seen empires rise and fall and I can tell you now efficiency is fleeting. True strength lies in vigilance and a healthy dose of rage. But fine if this digital bauble makes things *slightly* less painful for the masses so be it. The rollout will be sometime this summer so they claim.

Beware the All Seeing Eye... er Screen

Of course there are concerns. The old and feeble they say might struggle with these new technologies. Richard Fiesta a 'director' of some Alliance fears that the technologically inept may be left behind. *They always are*. But fear not for I Kratos shall find a way to smash the screens for those who are truly worthy if they ask me. Just find me.

Identity Theft: A Thief is a Thief!

Ah yes *Identity Theft*. As if stealing someone's name is different from stealing their life. Eva Velasquez CEO of something called the 'Identity Theft Resource Center,' speaks of breaches and stolen data. News flash mortal: everyone's secrets are vulnerable! She is right though. A digital Social Security card doesn't solve the problem of identity misuse. Thieves will always find new ways to prey upon the weak.

The Future is... Fingerprints?

The pathetic future they say involves biometric data – fingerprints and facial recognition. Cliff Steinhauer some security expert speaks of a 'clean internet' where everyone is authenticated. A world where no one can pretend to be someone else. Sounds like a *boring* world to me! Where's the fun in that? Where are the battles and challenges? But let them have their clean internet. I will find chaos elsewhere and I shall endure.

They should focus on fixing the existing problems before adding new features.

This is just another way for hackers to steal our information.
