The Ghosts of Economies Past!
Hmph. These mortals they squabble over numbers like children over toys. Citi one of these so called 'investment firms,' has whimpered and lowered its expectations for China's growth. Foolish. As if their predictions hold power. They say the 'trade tensions' are to blame. I have seen tensions. This is but a minor squabble compared to the wrath of a god.
Tariffs! More Like Tantrums!
The US led by some orange faced buffoon has doubled the price of goods from China. In response China throws its own tantrum restricting US businesses. Pathetic! These nations fight over trinkets while the world continues its descent into chaos. They cut China's 'GDP' to 4.2%. Numbers! They mean nothing when your enemies stand at your gates.
Prophecies of Doom! Or Just Bad Planning?
These… 'analysts' speak of 'little scope for a deal.' A deal? Is this a marketplace? War is the only deal worth making. Others like Natixis echo this sentiment reducing their estimations. Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs however remain stubbornly optimistic yet whisper of 'downside risks.' Cowards. Speak plainly or be silent! They aim for 4.5% growth. BOI! Do not set the bar so low!
The Dragon's Ambition... or Delusion?!
China boasts of aiming for 'around 5%' growth for 2025 yet admits it will not be easy. 'The main issue is uncertainty,' cries one economist. Uncertainty is the only certainty you fool! US tariffs rise and the world trembles. They added another 50% tariff. This is nothing! I have faced foes far more terrifying than paperwork!
The Law of Diminishing Returns! And Rage!
Goldman Sachs in their infinite wisdom believes the tariffs' impact will diminish. So the dragon bleeds less with each wound? I have bled for years and still I fight on! Chinese exports a mere 3% of their GDP are at stake. Small price to pay for pride.
A Gamble on Retaliation! Or Just Stubbornness?
Nomura expects exports to plummet yet maintains their 2025 forecast. Foolish consistency! One economist wails that it's 'impossible to reasonably estimate the impact.' Then why speak at all mortal? China may cut interest rates or increase spending. A desperate plea for strength. They believe 'strategic gains' outweigh the 'economic costs.' Pride. It is a dangerous weapon. But a weapon nonetheless. They think they can win this petty trade war like I won against the gods! Hmph we will see…

Is this what passes for 'war' these days?
