The Lesion: A God's Diagnosis
Hmph. Weakness. I was not ready to die. This mortal speaks of a lesion a tumor. Bah! In my time such things were met with the edge of a blade not the sterile confines of an 'MRI'. Eighteen months they said? Foolish mortals and their prophecies. I have laughed in the face of gods what is cancer to me? But he has lived. He has learned. And that... that is worth noting. It seems survival can teach even a Ghost of Sparta a thing or two.
Embrace the Chaos: Finding Joy Amidst the Battle
This mortal speaks of enjoying life. Hmph. As if it were some simple task. But he has a point. One must find purpose even when the Fates conspire against you. He still indulges? Still eats too much? A warrior must savor his victories even if those victories are small. Though I doubt Odin would approve of sloth. But this is not Asgard and mortals are not gods. They can enjoy their little things.
The Strength Within: A Warrior's Endurance
He speaks of pain of radiation of lesions. Boy I have endured worse. Yet I find myself respecting the man. To endure such torments and not succumb to despair... that is a strength even Kratos can acknowledge. The pain may break you but it does not need to define you. It can be a weapon to forge character and remind you of your mortality. Perhaps this mortal is not so weak after all. He speaks of managing. He has managed. And so can others.
The Allies: Trusting the Healers Finding Humanity
Mortals for all their weakness often surprise. Even doctors and nurses. They held his hand through nausea healed his wounds a far cry from the callous indifference of the Gods of Olympus. To show such... care... is a strength in itself. They are not warriors but healers. And in their own way they are heroes. The world is not as bleak as I once believed it seems.
Seize the Moment: Pre crastination not Procrastination
Hmph. Pre crastination? A strange term but one with merit. If there is something to be done do it now. Time is fleeting and regrets are a heavy burden. I know this better than most. This man he understands. He has been given a second chance and he does not waste it. A lesson all should heed. Not from the gods but from their own mortality. Even the Ghost of Sparta cannot defy mortality although I have tried many times before.
The Bonds That Bind: Fighting for Love and Acceptance
Even a god requires companions. The relationship the marriage... a battlefield of its own. Cancer threatened to shatter it but they fought. They endured. And they emerged stronger. A good relationship is worth fighting for even if it goes bad for some time. It's a good lesson for any mortal and perhaps for me as well. Acceptance is key. Accept what you can not change. It is a constant reminder of mortality. Learn to live with insecurity he says. Wise words. Uncertainty is the only certainty there is.
