They Push I Push Back: Tariffs Incoming!

Alright listen up. This U.K. U.S. trade deal...it's live. Like a jungle things are about to get interesting. Remember what I said? 'To survive a war you gotta become war.' Well same goes for trade. Since that Trump fella set off his 'reciprocal tariffs' nonsense the Brits were first in line to cut a deal. Now starting today June 30th they're playing by new rules. Rules they wrote maybe.

First Blood: Cars Edition

So here's the drill. Every year the first 100,000 British cars rolling onto American soil get hit with a 10% tariff. After that? BAM! 25%. Sounds like a 'piece of cake,' right? Well last year they shipped about 102,000. Close call. But America's got a trade surplus; they're selling more to the Limeys than buying. Cars are the U.K.'s biggest export. Top buyer? Uncle Sam. Go figure.

Aerospace: Cleared Hot!

Good news for the sky high boys! Duties are coming off the U.K.'s aerospace sector. No more 'PAIN!' for them when it comes to tariffs. But let's not get soft. There's still a war to be won.

Metal Mayhem: Steel Yourself!

Now the real fight: metal. Britain's the only one getting a 'special' 25% tariff on steel and aluminum while everyone else is getting pounded with a 50% levy. But they're talking about dropping the steel tariff to zero. ZERO! U.S. is the fourth biggest market for British iron and steel. The U.K. government is saying they'll 'go further' and get those tariffs to zip. We'll see. I'll believe it when I see it.

Starmer's Shuffle: Words of War... er Trade

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer is calling it a 'historic' deal 'safeguarding key industries' and protecting jobs. Sounds like he's been watching too many war movies. Mike Hawes head honcho at the SMMT is calling it a 'huge relief' for car companies. 'Slashing the punitive tariffs' and saving those 'famous names' in British manufacturing. Blah blah blah. It's a start but don't celebrate too soon.

Nothing is Over: Until We Say It Is!

Remember 'Live for nothing or die for something.' This trade deal? It's something. But the fight's not over. There's always gonna be someone trying to push you around take what's yours. Gotta stay sharp stay ready. This is Rambo signing off. And remember 'They drew first blood not me!'
