Tariffs? They drew First Blood!
Alright listen up. I heard about this Birkenstock situation. Tariffs huh? Seems like Uncle Sam's decided to play hardball slapping a 10% tax on imports. Now Birkenstock those German sandal slingers they ain't backing down. They're not gonna let some trade war bully them around and neither am I. It reminds me of the jungle; adapt or die.
Global Domination: One Sandal at a Time
This Krolo fella the CFO he's got a plan. A global plan. They're hiking prices everywhere not just in the US. See Birkenstock smells an opportunity. While everyone else is scrambling because their stuff is made in Asia Birkenstock's sitting pretty in Germany. "We do see this as an opportunity to take additional shelf space and gain (market) share." That's what he said and that's what they're gonna do.
EU Needs a Deal: Time is Running Out
Krolo's talking about the EU needing to strike a deal with the US. The sooner the better he says. Every second counts. It’s like waiting for the enemy to attack always on edge every shadow a potential threat. This waiting game is dangerous and in war hesitation means death.
Profits are Booming: Feels Like Winning
Sales are up! Seems like folks are buying more sandals and those fancy clogs. Their shares jumped 7%. They're even expanding production to meet demand especially in the Americas. Seems like somebody's doing something right. But don't get cocky. In the jungle you never let your guard down. Just because you're winning now doesn't mean you'll win tomorrow.
Demand is Still Strong: They Can Take the Hit!
Revenue in the Americas is up 23%! And some analyst Siegel is saying Birkenstock can raise prices and people will still buy. They got permission to do so he says. That's like saying you can walk into a bar fight and everyone will just move out of your way. Confidence is good but overconfidence is deadly. Remember nothing is over until you are lying underneath it.
Made in Germany or Made in USA: Doesn't Make A Difference!
They're not gonna start making sandals in the US even with these tariffs. Washington thinks tariffs will bring manufacturing back but Birkenstock's playing a different game. They're sticking to what they know. Sometimes you gotta stick to your guns stick to your training. Don't let anyone tell you different. You push them and then you watch them explode!
