Rules? What Rules?
Ugh seriously? I just saw some news about Amazon and their shareholders. Apparently some buzzkills wanted to make a rule that the big boss and the chair person have to be different people. Like who CARES? It's all just boring grown up stuff. Makes me wanna scream 'Rules are made to be broken!' But whatever the shareholders said 'NOPE!' to the rule. Good. Rules are for chumps. Now back to blowing stuff up! *fires Fishbones*
Bezos Still Boss ish
So get this after Jeff Bezos gave the CEO job to some other dude named Andy he stayed on as the 'executive chairman'. Fancy! These guys act like they got everything figured out. They claim it's all so the company can have flexibility with leadership. Blah blah blah... Sounds like they wanna do whatever they want whenever they want. Which I gotta admit I can respect. The best way to improve is to cause a little mayhem. You've got to try things that might not work and you've got to not be afraid to fail.
The Rise of Rule Proposals
Turns out loads of companies are talking about separating these roles. A bunch of them even tried doing it this year! Seems like everyone is suddenly obsessed with following rules or something. But Amazon was like 'Nah we're good.' They said their current setup lets them decide who's best to lead 'em depending on like circumstances or something. Basically they can change things whenever they feel like it. Smart move if you ask me. Surprise is the key to winning! HA!
Amazon's Say
Amazon’s board said the current leadership allows it to adapt to changing needs and “implement the optimal leadership structure at any given time”. How can they be so sure about this? Are they trying to fool everyone? If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything. But hey as long as they don’t get in my way of causing mayhem I don't really care what they do.
Chaos is the Best Strategy
Look all this boring business stuff is just a distraction from the real fun. Who cares about CEO's and board chairs when there are things to blow up and shiny objects to chase? I say let them argue about rules and policies. I'll be over here making things go BOOM! Because in the end chaos is way more interesting than order. And way more fun too. Why so serious?
Now What? BOOM!
So shareholders voted no to the rule Bezos is still in charge ish and I'm still awesome. Now what? Time for some real action! I've got a few ideas involving rockets paint and maybe a strategically placed pile of glitter. After all a little bit of chaos never hurt anyone. Except maybe those who try to tell me what to do. Oh well! Let's go blow something up!
