Xbox? Handheld? You Must Be Joking!

Well blow me down! It seems even Microsoft is getting in on the 'fortune and glory' business... by shrinking the Xbox! I've seen some things in my day – snakes Nazis even Short Round driving a car – but an Xbox you can fit in your pocket? This is new even for me. They're calling it the ROG Xbox Ally and apparently it's a collaboration with those ASUS folks. I always knew technology was advancing faster than a boulder in a booby trapped temple but this is something else.

Full Screen? On the Go? I'm Starting to Like This!

The blurb says it's a 'full screen Xbox experience meant for portable play.' Sounds fancy doesn't it? Apparently you can access games stream content and play on the go. Cloud gaming they call it. Sounds like some sort of mystical weather control but I suppose it's just a fancy way of saying you don't need a clunky console. Still I'd rather have my whip and trusty revolver but I admit the idea of playing a quick round of something while waiting for Marcus Brody to find my passport is… appealing. It's less painful than listening to him talk about maps anyway. Why did it have to be maps...

Approachable Gaming? Is That Like an Approachable Hovitos?

Microsoft claims it's an 'approachable gaming experience that travels with you wherever you go.' Approachable eh? Makes me think of those Hovitos back in '36. Not exactly approachable those fellas. I bet this thing won't try to skewer me with poison darts. Or maybe it will who knows with these gadgets? My advice: Always be prepared for the unexpected even if it comes in a pocket sized package. And never trust anyone who offers you a golden idol… or a free game.

Nintendo's in the Game? It's a Race Against Time!

Word on the street is that Nintendo just unveiled their Switch 2. It looks like we have a race on our hands a race that would make the Berlin to Istanbul car chase seem like a stroll in the park! This signals a new chapter in portable gaming. I tell you its always something; if its not the Ark of the Covenant its some new piece of technology that promises us the future and what not.

Pocket Sized? Sign Me Up!

Well I must admit I am intrigued. Perhaps this little gizmo can come in handy on my travels. Imagine being able to study hieroglyphics by day and slay digital dragons by night! No more relying on dodgy local libraries with their outdated maps and questionable hygiene. As long as it doesn't involve any snakes I might just be tempted to trade in my fedora for a joystick... temporarily.

A New Chapter? I've Got a Bad Feeling About This...

A new chapter in portable gaming they say. Every time someone says 'new chapter,' I end up knee deep in trouble. But hey that's what makes life exciting right? So bring on the pocket sized Xboxes the cloud gaming and the inevitable glitches. I'll be ready with my whip my wit and a healthy dose of skepticism. After all I'm Indiana Jones. Adventure is my business and business is good... even if it's on a tiny screen.
