Tesla's stock takes a tumble as Elon Musk throws his fedora into the political ring, leaving investors wondering if he's found the Ark of the Covenant or just another snake pit.

Snakes. Why Did It Have To Be Politics?

Right then! Seems our old pal Elon the tech wizard has decided that conquering space and electrifying the world isn't enough. Now he's going after the American political landscape with his new 'America Party.' Shares took a right beating in premarket trade Monday. Down 7.13%! Makes you wonder if he's aiming for fortune and glory or just a whole lot of trouble. I hate snakes...I mean I hate politics!

The Ark of the Covenant... or a Box of Rattlesnakes?

Musk thinks he can swing a few Senate seats and House districts playing kingmaker on those oh so contentious laws. His words: 'enough to serve as the deciding vote on contentious laws ensuring that they serve the true will of the people.' Reminds me of a certain ark I once went after. Thought it held the power of the Almighty. Turns out it could melt your face off! Let's hope this 'America Party' is more 'true will of the people' and less 'biblical wrath.'

DOGE Days Are Over?

Remember when Musk was hanging out with President Trump in that 'Department of Government Efficiency' (DOGE)? Apparently that didn't exactly boost Tesla's brand. The stock recovered when he left DOGE. And now he's diving back in! Wedbush Securities' Dan Ives says investors are exhausted with Musk's political shenanigans. Seems like some folks just want him to stick to building cars that don't run on snakes. Besides DOGE? Who comes up with these names?

Trump Strikes Back!

Ah the sweet sound of political squabbles! Trump calls Musk's party idea 'ridiculous,' claiming the Tesla boss has gone 'completely off the rails.' Well I've been called worse by better. These two have been duking it out over tax credits solar energy and all sorts of other bits and bobs. Sounds like a right mess doesn't it? But then again what political landscape isn't?

Deliveries in Decline?!

Hold on to your hats! Tesla's car deliveries took a 14% dive in the second quarter. Not good! And with competition heating up especially in China things are getting a bit dicey. It appears Elon has his hands full. I'd say he needs to focus on the Hovitos Temple before worrying about politics but what do I know?

It Belongs in a Museum...Or Maybe Just Back in the Garage

So what's the takeaway here? Is Musk a visionary about to reshape American politics or is he just chasing a shiny idol that's going to collapse the temple around him? Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure: this is going to be one heck of a ride. I'm just hoping it doesn't involve any more snakes...or Nazis for that matter.
