Judges Behaving Badly! Immigration Enforcement Gets an Indy-Style Twist

Fortune and Glory or Just Plain Trouble?

Well hello there! It's your favorite archaeologist Indiana Jones reporting live (sort of) from the wild world of... law enforcement? Turns out even dusty tombs aren't as shocking as the headlines these days. Word on the street (or should I say the archaeological dig site?) is that two judges have been arrested for allegedly meddling with immigration enforcement. I always say 'It's not the years honey it's the mileage.' And these judges seem to have clocked in a few too many miles on the wrong side of the law. Makes you wonder if they ever shouted 'Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?'

A Wisconsin Whodunit

First up we have Judge Hannah Dugan from Wisconsin. Seems she's accused of helping an undocumented immigrant do a disappearing act right after his courtroom appearance. Now I've seen a few disappearing acts in my time – usually involving booby traps and ancient curses – but this is a new one. According to reports she might have intentionally led federal agents on a wild goose chase! Reminds me of that time in Cairo... 'I hate these guys.'

New Mexico Nightmare

Then there's the case of former New Mexico judge Joel Cano and his wife. They're facing charges for allegedly harboring an undocumented immigrant with alleged ties to a notorious gang. A gang you say? This is getting interesting! Cano apparently smashed a cell phone with a hammer to destroy evidence. I've used a whip for similar purposes but never a hammer... perhaps I should diversify my toolkit? 'It belongs in a museum!'

Border Czar Speaks!

Trump's border czar Tom Homan didn't mince words. If you get in the way of immigration enforcement you're going to face the music. This sounds like a scene out of one of my adventures just with fewer snakes and more paperwork. 'We are not going to negotiate with these guys.'

Political Potshots!

As always the political hounds are howling. Critics are accusing Trump of using the FBI to bully judges. Defenders are saying that everyone is subject to the law. Me? I'm just trying to figure out what's real and what's a political artifact. 'Why is it always gotta be snakes?'

The Chase is On!

The story gets even better! In the Wisconsin case after the judge allegedly helped the immigrant escape federal agents had to chase him down on foot. A good old fashioned foot chase! Reminds me of escaping the Hovitos in the opening scene of Raiders. 'Adios Amigos!'. All in all its a reminder that sometimes even justice needs a little rescuing... and maybe a good fedora.
