From Bin to Vogue: A Tale of Transformation!

Honestly you wouldn't believe the state of some Muggle minds! They chuck perfectly reusable things into bins without a second thought. Charlie Rudkin Wilson however sees things differently. This fine art graduate bless her socks is turning discarded plastic – shampoo bottles yogurt pots the works – into rather fetching homewares. Featured in Vogue no less! As I always say 'Books! And cleverness! There are more important things – friendship and bravery... and turning trash into treasure!' Well perhaps I didn’t say the last bit but I thought it!

Plastic Alchemy: Turning Yogurt Pots into Art!

Apparently this 'Müll.Club' (a rather…direct name if you ask me) sells soap dishes made from yogurt and porridge pots for £16! And coasters from single use cutlery! It's like a magical transfiguration only without the wand waving. I dare say Professor McGonagall would be impressed. 'Why don't you try turning a water goblet into a rat Potter?' Perhaps she should've asked for a yogurt pot soap dish instead!

The Recycling Riddle: Why Can't Muggles Get It Right?

Here's the shocking bit: only a fraction of plastic packaging actually gets recycled! The rest ends up in landfills or gets shipped overseas. Honestly it's enough to make you shout 'For goodness' sake sort things out!' I mean haven't they heard of Reduce Reuse Recycle? It's basic environmental arithmetic! It’s like trying to explain the complexities of wandlore to Grawp – utterly hopeless!

Müll.Club: The Little Shop of (Plastic) Horrors... in a Good Way!

Rudkin Wilson started her business during the pandemic initially selling refillable bottles. Then she got to experimenting turning old plastic into household objects. The soap dish was her first creation now a bestseller. A practical and beautiful solution... a bit like my beaded bag but with less Undetectable Extension Charm and more plastic know how.

From Margate to the World: Tracking Trash and Saving the Planet!

Müll.Club now operates from a studio in Margate where they recycle plastic donated by the public. They even have an online platform where people can track their trash's progress! That's the sort of dedication I admire. It's like the Marauder's Map but instead of tracking Harry's whereabouts it tracks the journey of a discarded shampoo bottle! Mischief managed indeed.

Dragons' Den and Designer Dreams: The Future of Müll.Club

They've even partnered with big names like Lush and Fortnum & Mason! Rudkin Wilson wants to expand building furniture out of plastic. She is also looking to raise £250,000 to fund the expansion. She appeared on "Dragon's Den" and now a luxury car brand wants her to recycle plastic bonnet linings. Honestly the possibilities are endless! "Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.” Well I say fear of plastic increases the mountains of waste! Perhaps a charm to make companies more responsible for their waste is in order! After all "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
