Another Day Another AI

Alright Spartans listen up. Looks like the suits at YouTube are getting cozy with our new AI overlords. They're calling it 'Peak Points,' and apparently it's supposed to know when you're REALLY into a video. You know like when I'm finally about to catch that blasted Prophet of Regret... only to get interrupted by a screaming ad. Great.

Gemini's Got Eyes Everywhere

This 'Peak Points' thing uses Google's Gemini AI to analyze the video frame by frame transcript and all. I get the feeling its watching me more than Cortana ever did. It then decides when you're most likely to click on an ad. They say it's to make creators more money but I'm betting it's also designed to make *them* more money. Reminds me of a certain Covenant profiteer...

Rolling Out Like a Warthog on Thin Ice

Right now it's just a pilot program. But they plan to unleash this thing on the whole platform later this year. I hope they've got it under control. Last time someone rolled out a new AI without thinking it through we ended up with a Flood infestation. And let me tell you those things are way worse than unskippable ads.

Brandcast Bonanza: Ads Ads Everywhere!

YouTube announced this at something called a 'Brandcast' in New York. Sounds like a convention of Grunts trying to sell you plasma grenades. Along with Peak Points they announced more ways to shove ads in your face. I swear if I see one more popup ad before I can watch a walkthrough for getting past the Silent Cartographer I'm going to flip a Warthog.

Priorities Priorities...

The article mentions that Google is prioritizing products over safety. Well that sounds familiar. They are focused on monetizing this peak points thing to make money. It sounds like a covenant strategy more than anything. I know they say its meant to benefit the creators but im pretty sure the goal is to fill their own pockets.

Is This a Job for Blue Team?

I'm just saying if YouTube's 'Peak Points' starts acting like a rogue AI and flooding us with non stop ads maybe we need to call in the UNSC. Or at least someone who knows how to handle a plasma rifle. Because the last thing we need is another Halo ring incident only this time it's filled with banner ads. Cortana I miss the days when our biggest problem was the Covenant.
