Wake Me When You Need Me...On Mars!

Alright Marines looks like we're ditching the Halo ring... err I mean the Moon for the Red Planet. The Trump administration is proposing a budget that's leaner than a Grunt after boot camp. They're talking about cutting $6 billion from NASA's budget but hey at least they're throwing a billion our way to focus on Mars. Sounds like someone's been playing too much Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.

SpaceX: The New UNSC?

Elon Musk and SpaceX are practically doing a victory lap. They've been drooling over Mars like I drool over a fresh clip of MA5D assault rifle ammo. And with their Starship they’re ready to 'carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit the Moon Mars and beyond.' Reminds me of the Pillar of Autumn only with more... tweets.

Streamlining: Translation 'We're Outta Here!'

NASA's got to 'streamline' the workforce. That's code for 'some of you are gonna be looking for new jobs.' They're also talking about axing 'unaffordable' missions. I guess even NASA has to worry about the Covenant... I mean the budget. They want to focus on 'beating China back to the Moon and on putting the first human on Mars.' Sounds like a new kind of Great Journey.

Goodbye SLS! Hello Starship!

Looks like the SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft are getting the boot. Along with the Mars Sample Return Program. No more Martian rocks for us. But don't worry ULA Blue Origin and especially SpaceX are still launching stuff. Better them than the Covenant. I guess.

Adapt or Die... In Space!

Janet Petro is telling everyone to 'persevere stay resilient and lean into the discipline it takes to do things that have never been done before.' Easier said than done when your funding gets slashed by 25%. But hey at least they still see the value in reaching for other planets it is our destiny.

Nominee Isaacman: 'I Need a Weapon!'

Jared Isaacman is still waiting for the Senate's nod. Hopefully he's got a plan. Because as we all know 'I need a weapon'. Space is a battlefield even if it's an economic one. But with budget cuts like these we may need more than just a weapon we may need a miracle.

At least Mars is still on the table. Better than nothing.

What about international cooperation? We need to work together.
