A Shadow Falls on Minnesota: A Dark Deed Uncovered!

A Disturbance in the Force I Sense

Hmph a dark cloud hangs over the fair lands of Minnesota. News has reached my ears – news most foul indeed. It appears a certain Vance Luther Boelter a name that echoes with ill omen stands accused of deeds that would make even a Balrog shudder. They say he stalked lawmakers with malice aforethought like a Nazgûl seeking the Ring. 'It is no exaggeration to say that his crimes are the stuff of nightmares,' the acting U.S. attorney says a sentiment I can surely understand!

Not All That Glitters Is Gold Or So It Seems

This Boelter they say is charged with the murder of a state representative and her husband. A state senator and his wife were also attacked though thankfully they live to tell the tale. News of the attack is unsettling like a hobbit finding orcs in his garden. I find myself pondering: what drove this man to such darkness? Was it power? Was it gold? Or was it something far more sinister? Perhaps he was promised power beyond measure like Saruman by Sauron. One should always be wary of those bearing gifts or in this case bullets.

The Long Arm of the Law Or So They Say

A 'largest manhunt' they called it. Boelter in a mask impersonating a police officer – a trick as old as time itself! He gained access to their homes violating the most sacred of spaces. It seems the Shire has its own share of treacherous folk these days. Hennepin County Attorney speaks of first degree murder charges of life in prison without parole. Justice it seems is a dish best served cold... like a troll's stew.

Crawling in the Fields: A Desperate Retreat

They found him crawling in a field armed but subdued. Reminds me of Gollum slinking away after a failed attempt to reclaim his Precious. He was clutching a notebook containing a list of potential targets a litany of names a roll call of the doomed! It is a grave matter and one that cannot be taken lightly. One name on a list is one too many! May the long arm of the law be swift and true.

The Shadow Lengthens: Politics and Paranoia

The Governor speaks of 'politically motivated' attacks and that troubles me deeply. For even in the most remote corners of Middle earth political unrest can fester and grow like a disease. It is a reminder that vigilance is key and that we must stand firm against those who seek to divide us. Remember 'All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.' Let us use that time wisely to foster understanding and peace.

Still No Word on Second Breakfast

This story is still unfolding like a long and winding road much like the trek to Mordor. But take heart for even in the darkest of times hope remains. As I always say 'End? No the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path one that we all must take.' Let us hope that this path leads to justice and that the shadow cast by these events will soon pass revealing the light once more. On the bright side maybe the accused will do something very stupid.
