Hot Rocks! Inflation Still Stickin' Around

Yabba Dabba Doo! Fred Flinstone here reporting live from Bedrock! Seems like those pesky numbers they call 'inflation' are still hangin' around like Barney at a free bronto burger buffet. This time it's Australia's turn! Apparently prices are up 2.4% from last year. Now I don't know about you but that sounds like Wilma's gonna need a bigger rock purse when she goes shoppin' at the Slate Quarry!

Grrrreat! What's Gettin' More Expensive?

The bigwigs over at the Australian Bureau of… Stuff (I think that's what they called it) say housing learnin' (for you fancy folks) and grub are what's costin' us the most. Food! Can you believe it? Even Dino's eatin' less these days. But hey at least havin' fun and buyin' knick knacks is gettin' cheaper. Small favors I tell ya!

Long Road Down From Dino Sized Inflation

Remember back in '22 when inflation was higher than Dino on a sugar rush? Good news! It's been comin' down since then. Not fast enough for me but hey progress is progress! It's like tryin' to teach Dino to play poker slow and painful but eventually you might get somethin'.

Rate Cuts? Maybe! (But Don't Count Your Stone Eggs Yet)

Because of the droppin' inflation the fellas at the Reserve Bank of Australia lowered the interest rate. Means they can lend at less cost! One of those fancy pants economists said if things keep goin' the way they are they might even cut it again! That's a win for the working man like myself. A smaller payment is always good but it can't be smaller than zero.

The Crystal Ball: What's Gonna Happen?

These guys are saying the economy in Australia will get better and folks will still have jobs. But they also admit they don't know what's gonna happen in the rest of the world. Figures! If they knew that they'd be playin' poker with me and Barney and winnin' all our clams!

Election Time! Who's Gonna Win?

Hold on to your rocks folks! Australia's havin' an election! Seems like the Labor Party is ahead right now. But you know how it goes anything can happen. It's like trying to predict who's gonna win the Water Buffalo lodge raffle – pure guesswork! Yabba Dabba Doo I just hope whoever wins doesn't raise the price of bronto burgers!
