I heard some fella named Steven Alexopoulos one of them fancy TD Cowen fellas talking about this thing called 'Artificial Intelligence.' Sounds like some kinda space age contraption the Great Gazoo would cook up! Apparently this AI is gonna change the way even our banks do business. Banks using rocks and slates and stuff! They're saying it's like the biggest thing since the invention of the wheel... or maybe even sliced bronto burgers!

Rock Solid Savings or a Dino Sized Disaster?

This AI they say is gonna make banks like JPMorgan even richer than Mr. Slate! They're talking about it like it's a big opportunity to buy up some shares. But here's the kicker folks: this thing is gonna replace people. "Headcounts," they call 'em. Sounds like something Wilma would say when she's counting our chickens! This fella Alexopoulos thinks JPMorgan could be worth a TRILLION clams by next year! That's a whole lot of Barney Rubble's allowances!

Now I'm no brainiac but I can see where this is going. If these machines can do the jobs of the folks behind the counter what's gonna happen to all those folks? Are they gonna end up pushing rocks at the quarry like yours truly? I sure hope not! But this Alexopoulos says it's gonna cut costs reduce risk and make customers happier. Sounds like a win win lose situation to me!

A New Stone Age for Banking?

He's saying this is the biggest thing to happen to banks since… well since the last time things went belly up! Seems like every few years the banks are doing the 'Yabba Dabba Doo' dance on the edge of a cliff. But this time they think AI is gonna save 'em. Deregulation is helping too whatever that means. Probably some fancy way of saying they can charge us more for less!

But hold your horses folks! Not all banks are gonna be rolling in dino dollars. This Alexopoulos fella says some banks like Citigroup might get stomped on by something called 'stablecoins.' Sounds like something that came out of Great Gazoo's laboratory. He's bullish on JPMorgan Bank of America PNC and US Bancorp but he's giving Citigroup and Wells Fargo the side eye. Guess some banks are just better at dodging sabertooth tigers than others!
