Yabba Dabba Doo! This is Fred Flinstone reporting live from my stone tablet… well kinda. I overheard Wilma yapping about this 'Amazon' place and their big cheese this Andy Jassy fella is saying they're gonna have fewer folks working there thanks to some newfangled contraption called 'Artificial Intelligence!' Sounds like something straight outta the Stone Age only instead of dinosaurs building houses it's... robots thinking?

Robot Brains Takin' Over!

Apparently these AI gizmos are gonna be so smart they'll be doin' the jobs of real hard working people! Jassy says they’ll need “fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today.” Sounds a bit like when Mr. Slate tried to replace me with that blasted rock polishing machine! I told ya then and I'll tell ya now: machines ain't got the heart and soul of a good caveman!

27,000 Folks Outta Work! Holy Brontosaurus!

Now I don’t know about you but this sounds like trouble. Apparently Amazon already laid off a whole lotta folks – over 27,000 since 2022! That’s a lot of clam shells! And they made even more cuts this year so folks are already packing their dino skin briefcases. Remember a man’s gotta provide for his family! Wilma would be fit to be tied if I lost my job to some… some… thinking toaster!

Get Smart or Get Gone!

This Jassy fella is even telling his employees to learn how to use these AI thingamajigs! He wants them to get more done with “scrappier teams.” Scrappier? Sounds like a good ol' Bedrock brawl! But seriously folks need to learn this new stuff or they might find themselves out in the cold chasin' after a runaway dino instead of bringing home the bacon… or bronto burgers in our case.

Once in a Lifetime Reinvention... Yabba Dabba What?!

Jassy calls AI a "once in a lifetime reinvention of everything we know." That sounds like somethin' Wilma would cook up in her kitchen! And to top it off he goes on and says that it moves faster than almost anything technology has ever seen! I didn't know that they had technology that moves that fast Yabba Dabba Doo!
