Block Party Foul!
Alright alright settle down! So Block that fancy financial company took a nosedive faster than me trying to catch up with Shrek on those little legs of mine. Seems they didn't quite hit the money mark bringing in $5.77 billion when everyone expected $6.20 billion. Ouch! That's like promising Fiona a romantic getaway to Duloc and ending up in a swamp... awkward! Shares PLUMMETED nearly 22%! Somebody get 'em a tissue!
Atlassian's Atlas Shrugged (A Little)
Atlassian the software folks weren't exactly singing a happy tune either. Their shares took a 12% tumble after giving some 'meh' guidance. Apparently they're expecting around $1.35 billion to $1.36 billion for the fourth quarter. Listen even I know that's a problem. Although this company beat on both the top and bottom line for its third quarter. Now that sounds like something!
Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree But Still Stumbles
Oh Apple. Even the big shots have their off days right? Shares dipped over 3% after Tim Cook the big cheese warned about tariff troubles. It's like telling Pinocchio not to lie good luck with that! They beat the earnings estimates but the services segment missed the mark. Still pretty awesome though.
Airbnb's Not So Grand Getaway?
Airbnb the home away from home crew saw their shares slide nearly 5%. They beat expectations a smidge but their forecast for the current quarter wasn't exactly inspiring. Looks like the analysts were expecting a bit more sparkle! Reminds me of when I thought I could outrun a dragon...Spoiler alert: I couldn't!
Duolingo's Got the Languages AND the Green!
Now here's a story I like! Duolingo those language learning whizzes are soaring higher than Dragon after a spicy meatball! Their shares jumped almost 10% after giving a revenue forecast that made everyone say "¡Olé!" and "Guten Tag!" It looks like learning new languages is paying off and that’s worth singing about!
Twilio Sounds Like A Sweet Deal!
Twilio is having a celebration party. The cloud stock rallied 8% on better than expected earnings for the first quarter and upbeat guidance. That’s more like the great tasting parfait that everyone loves. It’s a beautiful thing!
Traffiker
Tim Cook blaming tariffs? Sounds like someone's passing the buck.
