A Loss? I Find Your Lack of Profit Disturbing

As the galaxy continues to evolve with its primitive technology so does the Boeing Corporation a feeble attempt at mimicking the technological prowess of the Empire. They report a first quarter net loss of a mere $31 million. A pathetic display compared to the vast resources I command! However their revenue has dared to rise by 18% reaching $19.5 billion. Perhaps there is a glimmer of potential in this… company. But only a glimmer.

The 737 MAX: From Zero to Hero?

The upstart CEO Kelly Ortberg speaks of ramping up production of the 737 MAX to 42 jets a month. Foolish ambition! This after a door plug incident – a clear sign of weakness. They require the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration these bureaucrats who dare to question their every move. They must not underestimate the power of the Force but also they must ensure all bolts are securely fastened. Or face the consequences. Remember Alderaan?

Tariffs: A Trade War Rages!

This 'President Trump,' a leader who reminds me of a less competent Palpatine wages a 'trade war.' These tariffs threaten to drive up the prices of aircraft and imported parts. General Electric's CEO Larry Culp pleads for duty free trade. A futile effort. Trade is a construct. The only true power lies in the Dark Side... and a well built aircraft.

Employee Morale: A Rebellion Brewing?

Only 27% of Boeing employees would highly recommend working there! 67% feel proud a drop from 91% in 2013. Such discontent is a cancer! They lack confidence in their leaders. If this company were under my command such dissent would be crushed. Perhaps a demonstration of the Force is needed to instill discipline... or fear. Fear works.

Defense Division: A Victory!

The defense unit though plagued by cost overruns and quality issues has secured a contract to build the U.S. Air Force's new fighter jet the F 47. A triumph! But do not become complacent. One must always be wary of rebels and insurgents be they on the ground or in the accounting department. And remember what happened to the last Death Star...

The Future: Do or Do Not. There Is No Try.

Boeing speaks of refocusing its efforts on core businesses. Good. They must sell off distractions and concentrate on their true purpose: building machines that can hopefully one day rival the power of my Imperial fleet. But until then they must improve their safety appease the regulators and quell the brewing rebellion amongst their employees. The Force will be watching... and so will I.

Employee morale is in the toilet. Something needs to change.

Maybe they should just build Death Stars. Less regulation.

Are they sure all the bolts are in the right place this time?
