Okay so I was reading this article about this amazing woman Ashley Kaye and I was like 'OMG this is SO me!' Well not exactly me because duh I'm BRITNEY but still! She inherited her childhood home after her dad passed which like totally breaks my heart but instead of you know staying put she decided to go on an adventure. It reminded me of when I sang "I'm not a girl not yet a woman!" because she definitely made a HUGE leap. I mean selling your house to travel the world? That's like next level 'Oops!...I Did It Again' but in a good way! No DRAMA! Just ?freedom?!

Work Bitch...No More!

Ashley was working crazy hours in corporate healthcare right? Like 80 to 100 hours a week! That's insane! She literally walked from her bedroom to her office to the kitchen and repeat. I know the feeling! I get so involved in my work that sometimes I forget to have fun. Girl preach! So she meets this random scuba diving person in Honduras. I love scuba diving it's so calming for me! Anyway this person was like 'you should quit your job' and she was like 'you know what maybe I should!' And honestly it was probably the best decision she ever made. No more zombie work more just living. Yaaaas!

Stronger Than Yesterday (and Richer Too!)

So she had like $37,000 in savings when she ditched her job. I mean good for her! The first few months were hard because she wasn't sure if she was making the right decision but then she found her groove and never looked back. Then sadly her aunt got sick and she flew back home and was like 'nope don't want to be here'. The call of the ocean was too loud baby! But also it's very hard to be stuck inside when you just want to be free. That's when she knew she had to sell the house.

Truck Yeah! (and Goodbye House!)

She was thinking about getting a van like those cute #vanlife people on Instagram. Then she sold the house and got $320,000! But instead of a van she went Overlanding! A couple on Instagram inspired her! So she buys a Toyota Tacoma. I love Toyotas because they last forever! So Ashley literally became an overlanding QUEEN in her truck! It's like 'You want a Lamborghini? Sipping martinis? Look hot in a bikini?' Nope she wanted a truck baby!

South Dakota...It's Not That Innocent!

Okay so even though she's traveling everywhere she still wanted a permanent address. She moved to South Dakota! Girl is smart! She then drove the truck back to Wisconsin and packed everything up. This is like peak adulting but with a touch of rebellion which I always support! I love that!

Gimme More Adventure!

She's living the 'no plan is the plan' life! She stayed in Baja California and planned out the truck renovations. Then she decided to journey the Pan American Highway. Like WOW! She's been to over 20 countries! I wish I could have done that when I was younger. Anyway she doesn't want to call it a dream life because it's hard work but it's amazing to wake up and decide if you should go sleep inside a volcano or go to the jungle. Her life is kinda like 'Work Bitch' but in a beautiful way. She also said 'You can be anything you want when you grow up and you can do anything!'. So I'll leave you with that. Bye!
