Last time someone promised me a new era it involved a giant cockroach trying to enslave humanity. But hey maybe Zuck's legit. Maybe he really wants to give everyone their own personal super smart AI. They're also talking about Llama 4.1 and 4.2 – Meta's open source AI models. Apparently over a billion people are using them. A BILLION! That's more than the population of some planets I've visited. And they're planning a next gen model to really push the boundaries. This is where it gets interesting. Open source means anyone can tinker with it. Good for innovation maybe not so good if someone decides to build Skynet in their garage. I am always watching.
