Trump's Golden Dome: Is It Protecting Earth or Just My Paycheck?

Shiny Object Alert!

Alright people Agent J here reporting live from… well not exactly the front lines. More like the inside of a news article about something that sounds like it came straight out of a sci fi flick. Seems our former Prez the guy who wanted to make America great again now wants to make it untouchable with something he calls the 'Golden Dome.' Word on the street or rather from the Oval Office is that this thing is gonna cost around $175 billion. That's a lotta Neuralyzers folks.

Space Force to the Rescue?

So the big cheese in charge of this whole shebang is some Space Force General Guetlein. Space Force huh? Last time I checked Earth's biggest threat wasn't coming from Uranus. But hey maybe they know something we don’t or maybe they’ve been watching too many episodes of Star Trek. They are talking about 'space based sensors and interceptors.' Sounds like something we could use at MIB. But will it work? That's the million or rather billion dollar question.

Canada Wants In?

Apparently Canada is ringing up Trump wanting to be part of this 'Golden Dome' action. I guess they are tired of being nice and want to blast some aliens too! Good for them! Maybe they are tired of syrup and want some missile defense in their lives. Who knows? But hey the more the merrier right? Just as long as they don’t start asking for maple flavored missiles.

Iron Dome Wannabe

Trump's been comparing this Golden Dome to Israel's Iron Dome. Now I'm no geography expert but last time I checked the United States is like a gazillion times bigger than Israel. Building something like that here? That's like trying to put a leash on a supernova. Analysts are already scratching their heads and I'm right there with them. It sounds like a case of 'more power' but maybe not enough brainpower. I've seen roaches with better plans!

Is It Gonna Work? Seriously?

Here's the deal folks. We at MIB deal with the real threats. Aliens interdimensional beings the occasional rogue Elvis impersonator from another galaxy. This Golden Dome thing? Sounds more like a shiny distraction. But if it keeps the politicians busy while we handle the real problems who am I to complain? Just as long as they remember to send us the tech upgrades after it inevitably fails.

Protecting Our World

Trump says this is 'very important for the success and even survival of our country.' I'll tell you what's important for the survival of our country: Keeping the alien overlords happy and making sure no one finds out about them. As Kay always says 'A person is smart. People are dumb panicky dangerous animals and these things will cause mass hysteria.' So if this Golden Dome keeps the masses calm maybe it’s worth it. But I'm keeping my Neuralyzer charged just in case. You never know when you'll need to wipe a few memories... or a few billions of dollars from the national debt.
