They Drew First Blood...But Can They Survive?

Heard about this 'TACK' thing. Some kinda ETF run by a woman named Katie Stockton. Says she's got a way to survive the market swings. Claims it's 'nimble.' Nimble? I know nimble. I've seen nimble. This ain't the jungle but Wall Street? That's a whole different kind of war. And in war you gotta adapt. As she said 'go into a less deep hole to climb out of.' Smart woman.

No Index? No Problem!

Stockton says this ETF ain't tied to any index. Good. Indexes are like following the herd. And the herd? They always run off a cliff. This TACK thing it rotates monthly between all 11 S&P 500 sectors. Now I'm no financial advisor but that sounds like cover and move. Keep shifting keep the enemy guessing. 'To survive a war you gotta become war.' And this market it's a war plain and simple.

Consumer Staples? Sounds Like My Kind of Arsenal!

Top holdings include consumer staples utilities and real estate. Consumer staples? Sounds like stuff you need to survive. Like beans bullets and a good knife. Utilities? Gotta have power. Real estate? Gotta have a place to hide. 'Nothing is over!' Especially not when you've got the basics covered. You can't win a war on an empty stomach.

Trump's Tariffs? A Distraction!

They're talking about Trump's 'reciprocal' tariffs. While the S&P 500 took a beating this TACK thing only fell a little. Doesn't mean it's invincible. It just means it's got some grit. Everyone wants to blame it on Trump but that's just a distraction. Focus on your survival.

Technology? Leaving That Behind

Apparently they dumped technology. Smart move. Technology? It's a trap. It fails when you need it most. Give me a map and a compass any day. Some sectors have 'fallen out of favor.' Well so have I. Doesn't mean we're useless. It means we're underestimated. 'Live for nothing or die for something.' I choose to live.

Is This TACK the Ultimate Weapon?

BTIG's Troy Donohue thinks it's a sound strategy. Says TACK is a great example of how you can be nimble. Thinks it performed well during this recent 'drawdown.' Drawdown? Sounds like something you do with a crossbow. Point is maybe this TACK thing ain't a bad bet. But remember 'hope is all we have.' And a good knife. And maybe just maybe this Katie Stockton has built herself a good knife.
