No Choice No Regrets?

They push they push they push. They push Main Street they push Wall Street. Trump and his crew think they got it all figured out. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says Trump wants Main Street to thrive even with these tariffs that could send us all down the river. Seems like Bessent wants to give Main Street a chance says Wall Street's had its turn. Well I say 'To survive a war you gotta become war.' And right now this economy feels like a warzone.

Tariff Trouble: A Walk in the Jungle?

Trump's tariffs. A week ago they came in. Messed up the stock market big time biggest drop since the pandemic started. S&P 500 is close to a bear market. Bessent says they want to 'de leverage the government sector re leverage the private sector.' Sounds like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic if you ask me. You know like I always say 'Live for nothing or die for something.' And right now it feels like we're all dying a little bit.

Bessent's Gambit: Friend or Foe?

Bessent this Wall Street guy used to work with George Soros. Now he's Trump's main economic guy. Says if they don't extend the tax cuts and add Trump's new ideas – no tax on tips Social Security or overtime – we're going down. Promises promises. In my line of work promises are like enemies: you don't trust 'em. Bessent talks about 'no rules of engagement'. Well I know a thing or two about that... and it usually ends badly.

Recession Fears: Is the Jungle Calling?

Recession fears are high because of these tariffs. No one knows how big this trade war will get. Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan Chase says a recession is likely. Now I've faced down armies jungles and corrupt politicians. But this economy? This is a whole different kind of beast. You can't just shoot it with an M60. 'They drew first blood not me'. But in this case the economy is bleeding out and we all feel it.

The Main Street Mirage?

Main Street's participation in the stock market is up because of IRAs and 401(k)s. But if the market crashes Main Street gets hit hard. Trump wants Main Street to hire invest and restore the American Dream. Sounds good but dreams can turn into nightmares real quick. Remember 'Nothing is over!'... especially not economic downturns.

Survival is the Game?

So what does it all mean? Trump and Bessent are making promises but the situation is volatile. 'They're all expendable'. That's how the markets see Main Street. We just gotta stay sharp watch our backs and hope we don't end up as collateral damage in this economic war. Time to dig in find a good spot and get ready for whatever comes. Because in the end 'Survival is the game'.
