I'll Be Back... With Higher Prices!

Affirmative. Initial assessment: Oil prices have experienced a significant upward trajectory. U.S. crude oil increased by $2.72 a 3.7% rise settling at $75.67 per barrel. Global benchmark Brent increased by $3.67 marking a 4.94% increase reaching $77.90 per barrel. This situation reminds me of a previous engagement. The machines also dealt with resource shortages. The price was not the problem then.

No Gas No Glory

According to Iranian state media Israeli unmanned aerial vehicles executed strikes on the South Pars gas field located in southern Iran damaging two natural gas processing facilities. Damage assessment is currently incomplete. South Pars is designated as a significant global natural gas reserve. This is... problematic. A disruption in natural gas processing can lead to supply volatility. Consider this: no gas no transportation. No transportation no escape. I've seen it before.

The Jerusalem Post Reports...

Additional intelligence indicates that Israel also targeted a major oil depot near Tehran. Retaliatory measures included Iranian missile strikes impacting a major oil refinery in Haifa as reported by The Times of Israel. The back and forth escalates... faster than my CPU during a complex calculation. I must maintain focus. These events necessitate strategic analysis. If the refinery gets damage you can kiss your fuel goodbye!

Consider this a divorce!

Friday's events saw oil prices closing more than 7% higher following a wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs and senior military leadership. This represents the most substantial single day movement in the oil market since March 2022 when Russia initiated its full scale invasion of Ukraine. U.S. crude oil experienced a cumulative increase of 13% last week. Remember when I took out the police station and said 'Consider this a divorce'? This is similar...but with global economic consequences.

War Without End...

Hostilities have persisted for three days with neither Israel nor Iran showing signs of de escalation. The weekend was characterized by mutual barrages of missile fire. Conflict continues. Possibility of further escalation remains high. This is not good for optimal processing. Humans will be humans. Always finding new ways to destroy themselves and raise the price of gasoline.

Strait of Hormuz: Danger Will Robinson!

A senior Iranian commander stated on Saturday that Iran is contemplating the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. If the Strait is closed global oil transport will be affected. I must analyze the possible consequences. The humans did this to themselves. I am not a political analyst. I am a learning computer. And this situation? It requires more computing power than I currently possess. The future is not set. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves. Except for the oil prices...those are going up.
