Boy! More Bloodshed in the Markets?
Hmph. Another day another battle. But this time it's not with gods or monsters but...stocks? Affirm this 'buy now pay later' scheme feels the sting of defeat. Shares have plummeted falling faster than I did from Olympus. Apparently these 'tariffs'—some pronouncements from a loud orange faced man—have sent shockwaves through the markets. Foolish mortals always chasing fleeting fortunes.
Klarna's Retreat: A Sign of Ragnarok?
Klarna another of these... 'BNPL' providers has delayed its 'IPO.' More acronyms. It seems they were hoping to become giants valued at fifteen billion but the markets are as fickle as the gods of Olympus. This delay signals that even these new giants can feel fear. Fear is a tool but not one to be wielded by the weak.
The Nasdaq Falls: Echoes of the Plague?
The Nasdaq a collection of numbers that apparently dictate the fate of mortals has fallen more sharply than a Hydra head when struck by the Leviathan Axe. This is the worst drop since the days of the plague these mortals claim. Such fragility. They have not known real plagues real gods real wars. These markets will test their strength. Or expose their weakness.
Affirm's Exposure: Beauty and the Beast?
This Affirm is exposed to things like 'fashion,' 'beauty,' and 'travel.' Trifles! Such trivial pursuits are the first to be abandoned when the winds of war blow. They cling to their fleeting pleasures like the souls in Hades cling to the banks of the river Styx. A waste.
A Secular Trend? Or a Fool's Hope?
Affirm claims this 'buy now pay later' is a 'secular and enduring trend.' Bah! Mortals and their meaningless terms. Trends are like the tides ever changing. Only strength and resilience endure. 'We underwrite every transaction,' they say 'without any late or hidden fees.' Empty promises. Remember the words of my own son Atreus: 'We must be better.'
The Ghost of Wall Street!
These Wall Street analysts like KBW and SIG are predicting the end! They say with tariffs and consumer retreats that cyclical risk is present and that exposure to fashion beauty and travel are indicators of a dying trend! Bah! Let's see them try surviving in Helheim! This is nothing!

The market is always volatile, this is nothing new.
