Okay so like everyone's freaking out about Iran and Israel right? It's giving me 'Toxic' vibes honestly. All this fighting is making the dollar do this weird cha cha slipping one way then another. I mean can't we all just 'Work B**ch' towards peace? Seriously my head is spinning faster than when I'm trying to remember all the steps to '…Baby One More Time'! I'm no economist but even I know conflict and money don't mix well. It's like trying to blend oil and water... or me and Kevin Federline... okay maybe not that far.

Dollar Dollar... Where's My Strong Currency?

So the dollar’s supposed to be this big strong independent currency right? Like me in my 'Stronger' video totally owning it! But it’s been kinda...floppy. Up one minute down the next. Apparently it's because the dollar is usually a safe haven but now it's acting like a 'Gimme More' free for all! Even though oil prices took a hit those currencies correlated to risk like the Australian and New Zealand dollars are climbing higher what's that all about? I thought we wanted stability not a 'Circus'!

Trump's Tariffs: Oops!... He Did It Again!

Oh honey don't even get me STARTED on those tariffs. It's like is he trying to recreate the 'Oops!... I Did It Again' music video with the economy? All this 'trade war' talk is stressing me out more than a broken nail before a concert! This tariff stuff is supposed to end in July? Well somebody tell Trumpy that's like RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! I need a margarita and a massage just thinking about it. Maybe then I can 'Breathe Again'. (Shoutout to Toni Braxton!!!)

Fed Up? The Central Banks Are Calling!

So these central bank people are having meetings? Sounds super important... and probably super boring. Apparently the Fed is gonna talk about money stuff and everyone's hanging on their every word. It's like they're deciding whether to 'Hold It Against Me' or let me splurge on another diamond collar for my dog. And Japan's in the mix too? Well I hope they're all wearing cute outfits! I need a 'Piece of Me' in this economic pie even if I don't understand half of what they're saying.

We Need a 'Lucky' Break

Honestly with all this going on I just want things to be… 'Lucky'. Like can't the dollar just chill the conflicts simmer down and everyone sign those trade deals already? I'm not asking for a lot! Just a little less drama and a little more stability. It's like trying to find a decent pair of jeans – impossible!

Let's Hope for a 'Happier' Ending

In the meantime I'll just be over here sipping my iced coffee practicing my dance moves and hoping for the best. Maybe I'll even write a new song about the economy! It'll be a chart topper I'm sure.
