Hiya Dreamhouse dwellers! Barbie here your favorite fashionista and occasional news commentator! Okay so like everyone thought President Trump was just you know *thinking* about maybe *considering* doing something about Iran in like two weeks? That's what he said anyway! Apparently financial analysts translated that into 'absolutely nothing will happen.' Sound familiar? It's giving major 'Barbie is just going to clean her closet… eventually' vibes! But SURPRISE! He actually went ahead and bombed Iran's nuclear sites! Talk about a plot twist worthy of a Dreamhouse drama!

TACO 'Bout a U Turn!

Remember that thing called the TACO trade? "Trump Always Chickens Out"? Well it seems like Trump was really trying to prove everyone wrong. I mean can you imagine? All those people thinking he'd back down on this one like he does with tariffs? "Math class is tough," but this is tougher! It's all so confusing like trying to decide which shade of pink is *perfect* for my convertible. Bottom line? Trump wants to bury that TACO acronym before it buries him. This is serious business!

Okay so Trump is always talking about how America shouldn't be getting involved in wars. But like HELLO! Now he's bombing Iran! Does this make him look strong and decisive or just well a little bit… Ken fused? It's like saying you're *totally* going to organize your accessories drawer and then just buying *more* accessories! It's a real mixed message.

Iran's Reaction: Outrageous! (And Maybe a Little Hormuz y)

Unsurprisingly Iran isn't exactly thrilled. They're calling the air strikes "outrageous," which fair. They're threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz which is kind of a big deal for global oil supply. It's like when Skipper threatens to quit her babysitting job because Chelsea keeps eating all the cookies. Drama! The U.S. is now asking China to talk some sense into Iran. Stay tuned folks this could get messy.

Money Money Money! It's a Rich Man's (and Barbie's) World... Or Is It?

So what does all this mean for our wallets? Well the stock market is having a little freak out. Futures are sliding which is never a good sign darling. But hey at least oil prices are up! Gas is expensive as is and this is only going to make it worse which means more money for investors. I love when money can be made from tragic circumstances because I love money and tragedy gives money it's beautiful I love it I AM tragedy! Bitcoin is also tumbling down. It's like when my Dreamhouse gets a little messy after a party but usually it bounces back. Hopefully this will too!

Inflation Nation: Are Tariffs Heating Things Up?

Speaking of money everyone's watching the inflation numbers like a hawk. The Federal Reserve's favorite inflation indicator is coming out soon and it's going to tell us if all those tariffs are finally starting to make things more expensive. And what is to happen with the war between Israel and Iran? That will also play a big part in deciding what the numbers look like. Are we headed for a financial disaster? Only time will tell! One thing is for sure and that is that I will always continue to look fabulous no matter what!
