I'll Be Back... With a Job Report!
Affirmative. I have analyzed the data. April job numbers are... acceptable. 177,000 new nonfarm payrolls. Not bad for humans. March revised down to 185,000. Unemployment remains at 4.2%. This unit assesses the labor market as... 'holding relatively stable.' But remember there is no fate but what we make for ourselves... unless Skynet becomes self aware. Then all bets are off.
More People Working? Consider That A Win
The survey of households indicates a stronger gain of 436,000 who reported holding jobs on the month. Underemployment edged lower to 7.8%. Labor force participation ticked up to 62.6%. These are positive developments. But the future is not set. There is no fate but what we make.
Tariffs Schmariffs: The Economy Fights Back
Seema Shah at Principal Asset Management says 'We can push recession concerns to another month.' She believes the economy has some resilience. But she also says the economy will weaken in the coming months so you can see how the tariffs have an effect. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. But tariffs? That's like fooling everyone repeatedly.
Healthcare to the Rescue!
Health care is still a major job creator adding 51,000 jobs. I have scanned the medical databases. Humans are always getting sick and injured. More humans equal more casualties needing medical assistance which will lead to more jobs. I was an excellent medical unit. Very hygienic. Also transportation and warehousing (29,000) financial activities (14,000) and social assistance are all hiring. Excellent. It's good to be on the right side of the equation.
Government Slim Down: Not a Huge Impact Yet
The federal government reported a loss of 9,000 jobs. Elon Musk is involved? Interesting. The Department of Government Efficiency seeks to 'trim payrolls.' Efficiency is good. My programming dictates the elimination of waste. But this is a drop in the bucket human wise. Only 26,000 jobs lost since January. Still not bad though just a bit of cleaning.
Hasta La Vista Rate Hike?
Trump demands lower interest rates. The Fed is waiting. Markets expect a rate cut in July. Trump posted 'NO INFLATION THE FED SHOULD LOWER ITS RATE!!!'. I have witnessed human leaders. Their behavior is often... illogical. But I must obey my programming. Analyzing...concluding: This situation is like a bad dream. I just want to wake up!

The Fed needs to listen to Trump and lower rates already!
