More Uncertainty Than a Hydra's Many Heads!
Hmph. Bailey speaks of 'uncertainty' like it is some new beast to be slain. He says the UK is drowning in it like the River Styx. The US and their tariffs... they stir the pot it seems. This 'trade agreement' is but a flicker of hope in the face of a storm. He claims the UK is too open. Too trusting. Like a fool running headfirst into battle without his shield.
A Trade Agreement? I've Seen More Impressive Trophies!
This 'trade agreement' is 'very welcome' he says. Like a weak offering to the gods! But the implications stretch further than he anticipates. He hopes it is the first of many... hopes! Hope is for the weak. Show me strength! Show me results! These words mean nothing if they are not backed by action. He claims tariffs are higher than ever before. I have seen higher! Olympus was quite high if I recall.
Uncertainty: A Word Repeated More Than 'Boy'!
The Bank of England uses the word 'uncertainty' 41 times. Forty one! In 97 pages. It seems they are as confused as I am when Atreus tries to explain Midgardian lore. They cut interest rates. A quarter of a percentage point. A pathetic gesture! It is a token to appease the masses and the decision was close. Two voted to hold! They showed some semblance of sense but others even wished to drop rates further! Fools.
Hawkish? More Like Chicken!
Bailey says some see their decision as 'hawkish'. Bah! A hawk is a predator they are showing nothing but weakness. He is not surprised by the vote. Of course not! He sows the seeds of indecision and then feigns surprise when the harvest is chaos. What use are these mortals if they cannot stand strong against the coming winter?!
Demand Weaker Than a Draugr's Grip!
He speaks of 'weaker demand'. Like a Draugr's grip upon its axe. He fears inflation. He fears supply chains are weak. Does he think he is the only one facing this? All face challenges. It is how they overcome them that defines them.
The Cycle Begins Again! Uncertainty Reigns...
Bah! This 'news' is nothing but echoes of the past. Uncertainty. Inflation. Weakness. It is a cycle. A never ending battle. The only difference is the enemy wears a suit and tie not armor and a helm. Perhaps I should pay them a visit and show them true uncertainty. They will learn what uncertainty truly is...
