Shishishi! They're Stealing Our Meat!

Oi everyone! Luffy here reporting LIVE from… well wherever there's food! I just heard some REALLY bad news. These guys in fancy clothes – House Republicans and Senate dudes – are trying to cut the food budget! They want to take away 230 billion meat filled dollars from the USDA over the next ten years to pay for other stuff. That's like ALL the meat on the Going Merry! They're even talking about cutting the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program which is basically the food stamps that help some of my nakama get grub.

Gomu Gomu No… Budget Cuts?!

So these cuts are like a Gomu Gomu no Gatling but instead of punches it's money disappearing! Some smart folks at UnidosUS are saying these cuts would be HUGE like three times bigger than any cut before! Even though it’s not a done deal yet the idea is still shaking the Grand Line. If these cuts go through regular folks won't be able to afford as much food. That’s like trying to sail to Raftel with an empty stomach! CAN’T BE DONE!

Meat for the Rich Crumbs for the Poor!

The USDA is trying to act all cool saying SNAP is just "supplemental" and not supposed to be a "windfall for food companies." WINDFAAAAAALL?! They're treating food like it's treasure meant only for the rich! But hey I get it they’re trying to "right size the program." More like "wrong size it" if you ask me! SNAP shoppers spend more money than non SNAP shoppers so cutting their funding will affect big retailers like Walmart and Kroger. Maybe those guys will have less meat on the shelves too!

No More Candy?! That's Insane!

And check this out: at least 11 states want to ban buying soda and candy with SNAP money! What?! No candy?! No way! Even the old geezer Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is trying to get rid of soda pops from the SNAP program! That's going too far! If they take away the candy what's next? The meat?! This calls for a serious discussion with Sanji… and maybe a raid on a candy factory.

Inflation's a Beast AND Now This?!

Right now 42.1 million people are using SNAP. That's like a whole island full of people relying on it! But with inflation everything is getting more expensive. Even Dollar General is feeling the pinch! Their customers say their financial situation is getting worse. Walmart says spending is all over the place thanks to this uncertainty. Tariffs might make things even worse and force people to go hungry. It’s like sailing into a storm with no Log Pose!

Let's Eat ALL THE FOOD!

Companies like Hershey and Monster Beverage might be in trouble if people can't afford their stuff. If people have less SNAP money they might not be able to buy healthy stuff like meat and veggies. And states might have a hard time banning junk food from SNAP. Some people are trying to make sure the government doesn't pick winners and losers in the grocery store. But I say: everyone wins with MORE FOOD! So what are we gonna do nakama? We’re gonna find ALL the food and make sure everyone gets their fill! SHISHISHISHI!
